convert to v drive

let me just start by saying i know very little about v drives so thanks in advance. i found my dream boat a shiada day cruiser for cheap. perfect hull only one problem its an outboard. is it possible/worth it to convert to a v drive? cost, work, ect? thanks

Hell yes that is a steal. You can buy it, take the motor and swap it into your lawn mower. Then have a bunch of glass work done and start collecting your parts. :)

If you go el cheapo way, I am going to guess $10k less motor.

Think of all the parts you will have to buy, install, rigg etc....
The plumbing alone could be 2500. That's just in ss hose and fiitings.
Then you need gas tanks 1,500 , new rudder 1,000 and prop 750.
You would be better off buying a nice used wacker motor and leaving it as is?
