Almost everything is new, I may also get the trailer repainted (rock chips) so the whole deal is perfect for the new owner.

I just wanted to mention that when I ran 96mph last year, it was with 650 Holleys, not the Bigs 750s that are on it now.
There was also a video of me running it last year on RJB and several people said that it was running too wet and I had too much water coming out of the headers.
This boat may have triple digits in it with some minor tweaking!!
One other thing is that when I went to the paint shop last week about fixing some rock chips, he was real curious about who painted the boat etc. He said that the painter probably got close to $10,000 for paint job - it is awesome. I wish paint was like an engine - where I could just take it off and slap it on the next boat - I'd be takin' it.

I can't believe this thing has not sold. I think location may be the problem. If that thing was in so cal with the price people are spending on boats these days it would be gone in a heatbeat. Keep up the work, someone will grab it. remember summer is almost here.

Question: Was looking at the steering on your pump and the plate [that I've highlighted in yello] that connects your steering cable to the arm on the swivel... how do you manage to keep it from pivoting when the steering arm is pulled and pushed? I.e., all I see are one bolt on each side of the plate, so I suppose that you have a nut on the other side of them and have them real tight, but still wouldn't it pivot sooner or later, and as the result affect your steering from working correctly?

I have not had any steering problems. The steering cable does not have the pivot ball where it goes through the transom, so it is rigid. Maybe the picture is deceiving but the distance between the bolts is greater horizontally, than it is vertically.

The jets are 78's (no power valves). Jetting seems a little on the rich side though.

Can you please show me a picture of the other side of the pump? I am still trying to figure out how that connector piece keeps from getting turned (pivoted) at where the bolts are attached...
Thanx in advance...

"I would consider trading up for a newer motorhome or truck camper."
I'm sorry Brian, there's no way that's trading up. if I didn't have one I'd buy it already.
Scarab, I also ran a link like that, worked fine. I'm just guessing but the aft end of Brian's steering spacer may butt up against the vertical flat surface of the clevis...between the prongs. If so that fit helps keep it from rotating as mine did. If not then it's as you say, bolt friction alone.

Not one person has shown any interest in this boat, let alone even come to look at it. Guess it's too much money - I'm down to $16,900. Getting pretty close to half of what I got in it.
Brian
P.S. Just took it out for the first time this year - ran like a champ.

That sucks...the bottom seems to have fallen out of the boat market for that type of boat in that price range. I had my Bahner down to 15,9 and no one called. I said F it...I'm not gettin raped by some vulture who's watchin the price come down, thinkin he's gonna swoop on a killer deal.
All you vultures lost!
And you're lettin another one get away!

I'd sink mine and go down with it before I'd sell it half-price. Mine 27k new with a mild Chevy ran 76 mph. PC rat runs mid 90's if I'm right...is that not worth 17k? Maybe buyers look for a 7k jet claiming 80 mph then buy it and sink another 10k to make it barely run 90. And what's the fascination with the potato chip Cp or a flip-over gullwing?
To each his own I suppose.

I had a guy send me a message saying that it wasn't worth this kind of money. What some don't realize is how much good quality parts cost. This guy will probably buy a $100 set of valvesprings and some cheap POS locks etc. and have less money invested than what I have, and it may run for a year or two. But when something like that fails, it could grenade the whole bottom end or leave him stranded out on the river.
I didn't ever want to have something like this happen, so I invested a lot of money in good parts - but I didn't think I was ever going to sell it either.
If it comes down to it, I might just pull the engine out and put it in my car and just stick the boat down in the barn.
Brian
