What is the stroke? compression? cam type and spec? I like those exhaust ports.

4.14 stroke. 6.700 rod dish piston 9.5 to 1. Cam was on a 108 circle
mid 600 lift with 240 or 250 duration at 50. Got the cam back in 02 so hard to recall. Will try a single plain intake and hope for the best.

Hotcrusader76, How much carb you think she needs???? I have a new 850.
Can we work it over to help it flow? Feel sure she will need more than a stock 850 can deliver.

That is a good combo for your engine, right down to the cam. Personally, I would have opted for a little more compression ratio with that cam, but your engine will run well.
You could easily run two 660's, maybe two 750 DP's. For a single carb, I would get bigger than an 850 for sure. Get a 950HP Holley if you can afford it.

Lakesonly, More than sure a 850 is on the small side. But that is what I have
to work with now. Went soft on the compression cause we take this boat all
over and good gas is hard to find at some marinas.
Let some power go so she would be low maintaince and care free.
My boats are my get-a-way from racing so do not want it to be a pain.

Old pics she is 97% ready now. Crew on a super/stock drag car. On the road with that 40 days a year. Build chassis for a lot of peps here.
