I was asked a good question today, and couldn't answer it:
What are the different models of Berkeley jets, and exactly how is each one different from the next? Also, which models are good, bad, or otherwise?
Thanks for helping out the uninformed...

JB and JG are split bowls. JB is the early style. JG is the newer style. With a split bowl you can add wedges, and or snoot droop etc.
JC is a standard pump found in a lot of boats. Its not a split bowl, but has longer veins which flow good. With some machine work it can be cut and made into a split bowl. Some pump shops are doing this.
JE is the an insert style pump.
JB, JC, and JG suction piece are all the same. Bowl is what makes the pumps different.
Hope this helps....someone please correct me if I am wrong.
