View Full Version : How about a golf cart section?

It would be cool to have a section dedicated to golf carts. Lets face it, most of us have them and need info on aftermarket parts and trouble shooting. It would be interesting to post pictures and talk about off-road carts with others. I only know of two other forums on the net that have golf cart sections.
Just a suggestion. Thanks.

I would vote for that! I own a Aircraft repair shop and I'm looking for parts to deck out a cart nobody has a nice cart here, just worn out junk it would piss the other shops off if I have a deck out cart with a nice tool box on the back lifted sound system etc. etc. ............... you get the point

I don't blame you. With all the aftermarket stuff available anymore you can easily add all that stuff to your cart. I must warn you, it becomes addicting. I thought I would just lift the cart and be content....well that didn't happen http://www.webolutionary.com/smilies/yup.gif

I vote YES to a cart section.....we have more fun cruising the carts at the river then the boat! Although  ......we are drinking more at that point

You are definitely right about that. The night cart runs are always the best, and seem to rival cruising around in the boats.
B.T.W. the limo you have been working on looks awesome. See we need a cart section so we can hear more about it. I'd really like to know about all of work that has gone into it.

I'll post some pics of my new cart as soon as I get it. Should be one day this week. I can do a step by step build on it for the cart section.

See that type of stuff would be make a great post. I can use my experience from this past weekend as an example. I put a painted body on our EZ GO. Well this was the first time I've ever done this, and need less to say it took allot longer than I thought it would. Figuring out which rivet to use was a pain in the ass. A step by step build that covers something like that would have been great and saved me allot of time.
Here's a pic of the new painted body. The picture doesn't do it justice since I took it in the garage at night. The pearl coat doesn't come out unless it's in direct sunlight.

Thanks. The wife actually pick out the color. I wanted something with a little more design to it, but she prefers the clean solid color look. I want to have the upholstery reworked to give the cart a more unique look. On the other hand the upholstery on there right now holds up really well to water, dirt, beer and so on.

Anyone know of a good site with pictures of the front suspension for a club car? I am trying to install a 8" Spindle mount lift and the directions suck.
Thanks.

Do any of you know where I can pick up a used golf cart(preferably gas powered). It doesn't have to be all done up already cause I want to do that myself. Also which ones are better as for lifting and engine upgrades?

Here are some pics of my progress so far

Here is it with the front & Rear lift installed.

Here is the final for the lift.

Next is the rear seat & new front end with the moulded in headlights. Then a motor & controller. I ordered the new cables for it today #2 welding cable for all the battery connections. Should be fun when it's done.

Looks good bro. It will get there eventually. Ours has been a "work in progress" for over a year now, and it's finally coming together. Of course it doesn't help when I crash it out at the desert.
