Old Salmon Falls Bridge today (Please note the new bridge was built because the old bridge is submerged... normally) I drove over the top of this bridge in July.

Dr. E.,
We braved the holiday crowds last weekend and went to Bullards, about 40 min. from home. At 9:15 Saturday morning when we arrived, there were no more than 10 parking spaces taken at the Dark Day Ramp. It was a ghost town. The lake is down over 100 feet, and dropping about 1.5 feet per day. The ramp is still usable, but I'm guessing in about three weeks it will be dry.
The lake never did get crowded. Very erie. A forest service guy I talked to said that all of the boat-in campsites were booked, and all of the sites at the campground down the road were booked.
He said that less than 50% of the people who reserved spots showed up. I did see some larger boats that I didn't recognize, and figured that Folsom was way down. A very strange day.
Pray for El Nino, I guess.
