Ive got the 496MagHO/Bravo1X setup. How long should I wait before switching the lube in the bravo to synthetic. Also any brand recomendations from experience would be appreciated.

How much oil do the drives hold. I just bought a boat with a Bravo 1 and I would like to change the oil before I take it out this weekend. After that I will take the boat in and have the drive serviced, but I would at leat like to change the oil before this trip. Is there anything else I can do before I leave such as zirk fittings I can grease.

What is a drive unit monitor? I have 502EFI with the bravo 1, is there some sort of oil resevoir for the drive, or is all the oil in the drive? Should I lower the drive and drain the oil and then fill it back up until it comes out of the top hole?

We boat a 24ft Commander with a 502EFI and a Bravo 1, it's a perfect boat for cruising down to Topock and beyond after running the flatty in the morning. Don't worry though, we kept both the flat bottoms. What kind of boat did you get, or are you still looking? Are you going to Needles this week, we'll have both flattys and the new boat there.

I should think before I type. I use Amsoil in the outdrive. The Redline in the primary & trans in the bike.
