Happy birthday! I hope you and Toni get the lots on Oswood (even though it would be perfect for my next house ;) ). Debbie said you guys were going out last weekend. Testing next weekend on the circus boat's shoe and ride plate. If you're in the area, come on by.

thanks guys. and to be honest with ya, i like the fact that i am now at the old fart level. gives me a better excuse for being in such bad shape. :p
as some of you know we went to laughlin for the weekend. the boat has no more milkshake cravings, i guess it was from too much water coming to the headers at idle. the banderlog valve was stuck wide open and is being repiared or replaced. for the weekend i hooked up a basset "T" valve (thanks Toddnjuzz) but i wasnt getting enough water presure to open it much, so i had the opposite problem. (too dry). i run a presure regulator and tried adjusting it a bunch of times but never got enough presure. i put a guage on the intake manifold water jacket and couldnt read more than 2 pounds. the only way to get thew T valve to open was too open the water (ball) valve to the motor but then it ran way too cool. i adjusted to keep the motor around 150 while running but would like to be a bit higher (around 180). its an old presure regulator so i think its time to replace it with something updated. i am going to try the banderlog valve again when repaired/replaced but need to find a way to keep it (and the rest of the water lines) clean. ive notice ALOT of calcium building up inside the fittings which i also believe is contributed by electrolisis. that and possibly the algea and scum is the culprit of sticking the banderlog valve. a pre screen may help the algea and scum build up, but im still trying to figure out how to keep the calcium from building up throughout the water system. maybe a zinc bar mounted on the rid plate?
anyhow, i dont think the motor was hurt by the small amount of water in the motor. only found a small amount ontp of the heads when i removed the valve covers. i drianed the oil before i left and got no water or milkshake oil out. the oil looked good. replaced the oil filter and new oil and ran it. i should have replaced the spark plugs as i did get some poor running condition toward the end of the trip from running too rich air/fuel, especially at idle. that and the fact that they were the same plugs from when i had the water reversion is leading me to believe i was starting to foul out a plug or two. i bought new plugs before the trip as i removed one old one before hand and saw that it was very sutty. but dumb me, i didnt replace them and didnt want to do it in the parking lot. all in all, the motor seems to be good, just a few small details to fix and should be good to go for FC2.
on a side note. the water level was way down for most of the day. couldnt get on the water till after 2 or 3 PM so for anyone going out (mike) be careful.
mike. we did get our bid in (in writing) and are now just doing the waiting game. thank you so much for being such a way cool guy and allowing us the chance at it. we are soooooo excited about getting it, and hopefully soon will be a nieghbor. you are a true gentleman. thank you from both of us.

Ty. anytime someone is around dan and im not around, its allways talk chit about vic time. lol besides, i think i got the better deal on this one. i was in laughlin while you and dan were at the shop working on his boat and talking chit. i win. lol :p
thanks for the birthday wishes, and im glad you had time to help dan out. now both of you guys get your boats going so we all can play on the water and talk chit about everone else. :)
demontzsta. we left the jello shots and saving them for you. but i did get hammered at the sports bar watching the bronco game and sucking down rum and diet pepsi's. cant remember when ive been that drunk. weird though as i didnt feel bad in the morning. and to top it off, we met Charles Fenagan and his family in the elevater. he is the owner of IHBA and we all had breakfast together. that was way cool. lots of great stories. the timing rig and the rescue boat was parked next to us so i got some cool pics of my boat and truck next to the IHBA rig, but didnt have the camara while at breakfast. maybe we will get some shots with everyone at the races in san diego this weekend. they had to split at 6 AM and there was no way i was getting up that early. lol
ill make sure there are plenty of jello shots for ya at FC2.

Victor, where were you launching? I've been launching out of Rotary Park, now that my pump is just a giant weed vacuum at Lazy Harry's! I've gotten lazy in my old age, and don't launch 'till 3 anymore anyhow.
I hope you guys get the lots so you can start building. Hopefully, too many don't find out about our little area... wouldn't want it overrun by riverrats or anything. :D
We'll be back out the weekend of the 25th. I have more work to do on the shoe and intake, but should be finishing that up his weekend. Come on 70!

Ty, i think we can make that a sticky on the all time story list. i still crack up everytime i think about that.
Mike, we went to lazy harry's on saturday but the water was lower than the pole so we basically just had some lunch at harrys and then went back to the casino and watched the jimmy buffet tribute band. sunday and monday we launched from the riverside and went down as far as the back bay and back up to the damn. did alot of floating and relaxing. thanks again for the wishes on us getting the lots. we dig that area and cant wait to be a part of it. its only a matter of time, but i think youll get your 70 soon. ill have to take a closer look at the set up (out of the water). that hull should get you there no problem.
