Been wanting to get to this board for some time . Now that I need something ,seems to be a good time to join up and say hi !
I just bought a 1977 21' Omega jet boat with 460 and jaccuzzi jet drive . It has no trailer . I need one bad . Don't want to spend money for new one . Does anyone know how much this boat weighs ? I found a deal on a single axle trailer .Probably a 3500 lbs axle . Don't know if it is enough . Can someone help ? AND ,Does anyone have a desent used trailer for sale near NJ.? THanks ,JOE

Hold on here...that sounds like a "lake" boat...not for "offshore" use...

PS- A friend of mine had one sitting on a tandem, but no brakes. I don't think they are that heavy...

Havasu Hangin', Boy you are everywhere !! First on the sterio board now here ! How are you ? Do you think this boat would work on a single 3500lbs axel trailer ?

Hey Boot...you can run, but you can't hide... http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy06.gif
I don't think that boat weighs 3,500lbs. We used to tow it with my friend's "SuperDuty" Toyota 4 Runner, and we barely knew it was back there. You could always run it on a scale to be sure...

PS- That audio forum is full of shop owners and competitors...not always helpful to us average guys, if you know what I mean...there's a couple others out there if you have any other questions...

Boot, If yours is a 77 bow rider, then I have the same boat. I believe Omega is still in business. They were located in Monclair, CA. I don't know if they are still in that location. Anyway, mine is on a tandem axle with no brakes. Works fine. Good luck.

I have no idea yet ! I haven't had it out yet ! But I hope to this week end if I get it back together . THanks for the guess on the weight . THats about what I figured too . Just enough for my single axle trailer if the road is smooth maybe too much if I hit a pot hole !
