View Full Version : Help with ride of 21' Essex

My buddy, Nastynebs, has a 01, (i think) 21' Essex with a 496. Diverter, ride plate. I think its a E pump. Not sure.
His roost is small. He got a Rooster Booster. What will this do to the ride of the boat? Its it better to wedge it instead? If so, how much? I think the rooster booster is 8*, I think thats what I was told.

It's not the size of the roost it's how you use it....add some more RPMs!

Umm, maybe adjust it so it works?!!!!!!! Bring it by i will make it shoot a rooster.
1.add wedge if you cant get it up(or is that viagra)
2.a rooster booster is 8*, but if the intake is set at 4* negative, then your only 4* up.
3.Add a big unit and squeeze it till she pops,then you will have a rooster!!!

Thats kinda what I am lookin for. Hows the ride with the rooster up? Dose your boat ride ok with the roost all the way up?

what do you mean ok ? its going to make the boat get out of the water more . i would personaly try a droop for the money it should give you performance and tail. a bigger boat like that it cant hurt;)

It definately creates alot of drag but provides a great roost and yes, it makes it bounce. With this setup just a little adjustment from the placediverter is all the boat needs to get were it rides the best and has the least amount of drag from the hull. Getting the roost about 2 ft up is where the boat rides the best. Ryan
