I had to cut up a Jolly Rogers once.Only things i saved was the pump( not a split bowl)the intake and 1 Jolly Roger emblem(very pitted)the boat was rotten and had been used for target practice. It looked like it would make a nice lake boat in its day.http://dmontzmax.maximaclubca.com/SigsAndAvatars/Smilies/AR15firing.gif

Wow! How often is Lake Michigan that flat? P.S. Pretty much got my mind set on going to Wamplers?

I don't own a jolly but worked on a couple at a marina in the past. They were both i/o setups with stock small block v-8's and were very impressive speed and handling wise. Minor mods on one motor gave good speed increases, don't remember exact specs but all of us at the marina were very impressed with these boats.

I looked at a Jolly Rogers a while back, it was in a local traders magazine. Was pretty rough, but had the pump in it and was on an old trailer. Seems like the price was $150.00. I found an old Cheeta hull with no pump and was thinking of going back to the Rogers just for the pump.

I was home (right on Green Bay in Northern Michigan) for a couple weeks last summer. During that time we had more calm water, than rough. These photos were taken on three different days looking out over Lake Michigan from three different locations. It was absolutely awesome and I was wishing like hell I had my boat with me.

The problem with the Great Lakes, is it can change almost instantly when a storm blows in. I've lost family friends to both Lake Michigan and Lake Superior when they got caught out in storms while fishing.

There's an older gentleman from the north Indiana area that used to run a Jolly Rogers until I gave him a 75 Wriedt Stinger hull. He used to lurk the RJB site and possibly www.banderlog.com.
He ran an Olds 455 too. He also cut down the hull for less deadrise. He had pic's on the RJB site and I've never seen a boat with so many pressure sensors on the pump inleat/outlet/bowl and cooling system. Seemed to know his Olds motors too.
Another cool Hoosier.

Bump, does anyone have a jolly roger like the gold one pictured? I have one exactly like it but in blue and silver and I am trying to decide if it is worth putting back together or not. Right now it has a bad engine, interior, floor and no title  . But the price was right :rollside: . How did they handle the waves???? it looks like it has a deeper V than most jets, since I boat on lakes that tend to get rough it seems like it might be worth fixing.

I had a 14' Jolly Roger, 140 Mercruiser I/O. Paid $100 for it on the trailer, never got it running, but measured several times for a SBC install to replace the Chevy 4 holer. Guy I sold it (and 2 other hulls) to gave it to his nephew, who has't done anything to it since. Have though about getting it back adn building it. Still had the engine cover and everything...

I had one breifly before the sidewinder (for two months). Bought it on ebay non running. Spent a bunch of money, did a bunch of work to it. Never drove it Sold it for less than I paid. In other words a typical project for me. :D
It looked exactly like the pic above, only it was oarnge and brown. The bottom was very similar too, if not exacly the same as the Sidewinder. I have pics somewhere on an old hard drive in a closet somewhere, lol
