Big 6 GP's and a few dezert races.
If it wasn't for boating season the SRA GP's look like a blast also.
Next race: Ridgecrest.

Actually yes, I race D-37. Vet open Division. I did not race yesterday as I was on the RIVER, but will be out there on the course for the next National
Hare and Hound in October. So I asume it was a little uh,.... dusty ?
Some of the best racing in this series is after January, depending on the club that is putting on the racr. The CHECKERS and DESERT MC have a reputation of putting body AND bike thru the test.

Used to race D-37 many moon ago. Was in Desert M/C and loved the racing and family out there. After a few bad crashes and surgeries I decided to get into off-road trucks.
Gotta love the Checker's Downhill.

Checkers down hill......Oh, the pain just thinkin' about that one. :( They really CAN put a hurtin' on someone in the Beginner class.
The big 6 series is also fun, but there IS alot of SANDBAGERS that race that series though. One of the BEST off road races that I have raced numerous times, is the SAGERIDERS Natl' H&H in Utah. The race is in April, and has a little bit of everything, including a little SNOW through the higher elevations.
It is a 3 loop race, and worth the drive to UTAH every time :D

It was reallllllllllll dusty the first loop, But ounce the pack started to break up it was ok, Plus we had a little wind. The Invaders put on this one and from what I heard it was a real tuff course. This was my first race so I have nothing to compare it to, But I did finish and got my little pin. I actually finished 4th in my class witch I didn't think was to bad. But the most important part was I had a blast!
p.s. See you in October!!http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1172100_0826-med.JPG

I did a few desert races years ago on my XR500...They sure kicked my A$$ and I was in my twenties...now I just trail ride...
In fact I just spent saturday and sunday out at Cal City desert riding...
almost perfect weather too, sunny and a little windy but not too hot!

I will agree that this sport WILL kick your ass. They say that this is one of the only sports besides swimming, that uses almost every muscle in your body, But it is absolutely fun. Wait until you get a desert race a day or two after a good rain. You will be in heaven.
This is the only thing that keeps me occupied during the off season for boating. One of my favorite runs that we do is a fun trail ride with some buddies that starts in Hesperia, and we ride to State Line/Buffalo Bill's Casino. we stay the night and ride back the next day. Takes about 9 hours each way. what a blast. :)

I raced in 250 novice, I was on a YZ 250 #x234. Yea I went both loops, A little balzy for my first race but I finished. Got a slice in my lower radiator hose on the last lap and at the same time demolished my pipe. Finished the race with no water in the radiator, So needless to say a top end is in order. A lot of rocks, But had a great time!! Probably won't make it back out till 100's MC dual race on Oct. 23-24............Although I only plan on racing the H & H on the 24.
What class, bike, # were you?
