Bill Gertz is one of the best investigative reporters in th business. (http://www.washtimes.com/national/20040921-121158-2444r.htm) If this report is true do you guys (people) think we will go the way of the Spanish? Will an attack on the US change the outcome of our elections?

I don't the American people are as easily swayed as the Spaniards.

I've thought all along that they might attack us on election day and I've also thought that they might try to assassinate the President and/or John Kerry to try and disrupt our election.
They must realize that if they attack us before the election it will help Bush get re-elected. So I'm guessing they would only attack on election day to try and disrupt the election and keep people home afraid to vote.
One thing I believe is that their next attack may be the last straw for the American people. One more significant attack and Americans may become so pissed off that the gloves will finally come off and our President will have the support to fight this war the way it should be fought - ruthlessly and mercilessly. Woe unto those who piss off 300,000,000 Americans!

if anything an attack would probably give us a kick in the butt and More people would turn out to vote, i think there is a new patriotism in this country and Al Qaeda is not going to steer the citizens of the US.

One think is clear they want Kerry for Pres. They might stage a fake attemt on him, to try to boost his stature...
