Watch out, plenty of "sensitive people" here. They use big words like "phuc u" and such on the poorboy. What's that mean?

Cyber Rambo. In person, probably a nice person. Give em a keyboard, and now he is the baddest. Glad to hear you are good at fiberglass. I learned how when I had my outboard. Dam thing kept crackin up. I rebuilt my 460 for what it cost to replace my lower unit. And the Dealers.... They laugh all the way to the bank, goto the lake and hop in thier Jet Boat. How do I know???? I have been sellin em for 20 years.... hehe.. Why am I so nice???? I my sell you your next Bass boat...Have a nice day..

They keep me in biz. I can't slam'em too much. I was never able to pick up a chick at Texoma with one. With the Squirt, the longest I had to wait one time was 45 mins. Chicks dig Squirts. My personal ride is a Jet, but I sell alot of Egg Beaters.

Why don't you egg beaters get off here and go to some porno site and beat your eggs there, leave this site to us jet boaters. Hydromobile over and out.

77 Spectra you are so right. The honeys like dangerous guys and V8's with loud pipes sound dangerous http://www1.eboard.com/eboard/servlet/BoardServlet?ACTION=NOTE_SHOW&ACTION_ON=NOTE&OBJECT_ID=432673&SITE_NAME=Destination&BOARD_NAME=***boatForum O/B's sound too conservative. Kinda like a fishing boat.
If you own an o/b why would you come to this board anyway? Jealeous? Originally posted by 77Spectra:

Smash, the new 300X Promax run about $16,000
New Drag motors, also 300hp, run closer to $20,000.

Barney thanks
Thats 20000 US dollars for a motor that translates into approx 30000 Canadian plus accessories. A sbc circle track dry sump motor with jet costs 28000 and is good for over 115mph on the river at 4400 feet alt. with 3 people in the boat and has the ability to run all day. I ran a circle boat with a promax and it was fast but it would not out run or even stay with the canam boats. Will it out run my jet? up to a 100 no. above 100 yes. on a river no. drag racing maybe. turning no. through the rapids no. I got into jet pumps for safety reasons mainly kids and got carried away from there

Smash, there are some other factors.
The $16K(retail) 300X was 15+mph faster on my boat than my 1998 motor. I can run 95+ by myself. 4, people and ice chest, gear, 50 gal fuel, I still run over 80.
I bought my motor in January 2001, new in the box with 1 yr warr for $9500, less $3,000 for some shipping damage, my motor's total cost was $7,000. I'm into my boat less than the $16K mark.
Now the new 300 Drag Motor, for $20K, no warrenty, not gonna see me lining up for that one!! I have no personal experience with it.
My reasons for outboarding started before I was born, it's all I knew. Having a fast jet running rivers and rapids sounds very cool, I'm hoping that's an invitaion to come check it out!! When is a good time for you? http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
I also had 2 stroke bikes as a kid, never really worked on a car, so I am where I am....
I have been in the northwest and seen those "sleds", I think they are very cool, have never had the opportunity to ride/drive one, any real jet for that matter....
Had some great fun fishing some small WA rivers for salmon, our guide had a 200hp Merc outboard jet with a tiller handle, talk about a squirt gun. I don't consider that a real jet though...
Not familiar with caman? boats, or what you call circle boats.

I just visited Lee's marine today [he is a local outboard guru]and saw a new 2.5/280 HP Merc with a speedmasterlike lower unit for 18500 Cdn,less 30%US.The same day a customer rolled in with his boat that he just picked up from california for 10000 US. 1992 20 foot Carrera ,454 BBC,tunnelram twin holleys,American turbine with placediverter, sitting on a Competitive tandem trailer. The boat is in mint condition. As much as I liked the Merc o/b ,dollar for dollar I 'll pick the complete boat combo. Most of my friends with Merc o/b were complaned that the powerheads only lasts 4-500 hours. Is it true?

Plum crazy is a fag. You most likely drive a Datsun 510 car and live in your mother's basement suite. Do you crossdress as well as your goes. I bet you real nice leaning up on the bar at the local Fag bar. Have fun and don't get your heels caught in the hem of your dress.

Wow this Plum Crazy guy has no clue how many people he is pissing off. while his choice of boats is certainly approved (Hallett) his attitude is far from a true hot boater.

It's kind of fun to watch the jet boaters rummage under their sundecks looking for the shotgun in the bilge. :D
I don't know Plumb Crazy (the original one, not the new west coast one) personally but I've seen him around the boards for the last 6 or 7 years. He is a great guy, a lot of fun, and likes to stir up the shit.
Before you weigh him down with 00 buck, you should know that he's a livey individual with a keen sense of humor. I'd be willing to bed that his original post was loaded with smilies.
He has also helped out a ton of people and he really is a glass expert by any measure.
As well as all that, he is kinda crazy. :D

sorry dog

Last time I saw him, he was running his Vector at WOT while the motor was still trimmed at trailer height. Somehow he hit a log and broke his new sportmaster.
For those that don't know him- he has a boat like mine and I feel like I'm abusing mine at anything over 1' chop. He likes to go jump tanker wakes in Galveston bay.
