I dont know if they are the best but Milidon makes a copper gasket .030 thick 4.060 bore seems to be the smallest bore listed.Summit racing part#MIL-39990.$67.95 for a pair. These seem to be the thinest listed in their catalog.

Tring to stay within my target compression ratio 7.5:1 the heads are 76cc and anything thick will drop it below what I want and the heads are already assembled or I would have them surfaced.I've run alot of turbo (drag)motors but they have cooper seals or o-rings with step deck, but I'm not boosting 25lbs+ so I decided to run gaskets on my boat. Also I was worried about copper/cast/aluminum reacting in a marine motor especially with fresh water so I was thinking about multi layer stainless hopefully Cometic unless I hear or learn otherwise.

Guess the only choice I would know of would be a cometic then. I dont know the available thicknesses but Infomaniac sells them so he would know.

ghittner, I am using the Cometics and like them. Just my 2* but I would not skimp on the quality of a GOOD headgasket. It sucks to have to tear your motor back down because of something simple like a leak. you may not actually "need" a high dollar gasket , but if the jobs done right you'll save yourself headaches later :)
I had a set of Felpro gaskets blow out between cyls. before I put the cometics on ,its been 3yrs on them and 22#boost w/no problems

I know the guys @ SCE and they make a new copper head gasket with an O ring cut into it it's the ICS Titan . Duttwieler put 40lbs.+ on a small block chevy without problems. But I wonder how long it will last in a marine motor vs. stainless cometic.

I used cometics on a 460 with trick flow aluminum heads for a twin turbo application. the cometics leaked water like a rain forest. Had to use a little tap water, about a month latter they sealed up. I heard that with cometics you need to have the surfaces machined to a mirror finish. Anyone else had this problem?

GT perpormance sells the cometic gaskets, they say they have ran twin turbo motors making 48lbs of boost with no problems,so that's what i use
