Anyone have any pictures of this hull by Tom Papp? I'm thinking about buying a bare hull from him and wanted a bit more info than his website provided. I know they perform well, I just wanted to get an idea of the seating arrangement and what the cockpit looked like. Thanks in adavance!

We race three of his boats. Tom is great to work with and a true professional. He takes pride in his work and will always lend a hand to any questions you may have. I owned an eliminator before my stealth and I can tell you there is no better boat out there!I feel much safer in my stealth than the eliminator. You can see his boats at http://tompappracing.com
I highly recomend you buying one of his boats. If you want I can put you in touch with one of his dealers. Let me know!

Hey thanks. I visited the website but there arent many photos of the boat there. There's only 1 photo of each race boat and one of the Stealth on the model page. Do you have any?

Yeah at some point I'm going to drive to Tom's shop and check the boats out firsthand. Until then, I'll just keep searching for some photos or check one out at a lake somewhere. What I'd really like to do is go for a ride in one. That would really influence my decision on whether or not I start a new project.

Cyclone,
Tom's 19' Stealth is a really nice hull and the reason you don't see too many set up family style is because it's such a great race hull, Tom's market share is limited, and the market for these smaller boats has shrunk quite a bit.
I built Tom's web site and it definately does lack model photos. We are working on that and in the near future (hopefully) there will be individual model pages with far more pictures. In the mean time, here are pictures of Miller Killer's ride. From an interior space and layout sense, it would be close to the Eliminator 19' and Ultra Shadow (Cheyenne). Hope this helps. I am pretty certain you won't be disappointed with one of Tom's hulls. Also, I'm pretty sure they are more cost effective than the other aforementioned hulls. --->Brian

I have been up close and know personally two people who own Papp hulls. One has the 19' Stealth, the other has the 21' Phantom. For interior seating purposes, I see no room for a rear bench seat in the Stealth. As Kbitchen said, it is very similar to the 19' Daytona. However, if you are only looking for a two seater, this boat screems. If you are looking for a true four seat boat, buy the 21' Phantom. This is similar to the 21' Daytona. Both of the hulls I have been around run 100+ mph. Both have 750hp - 850hp blower motors. You will not go wrong with a Papp hull. Good Luck! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
How is your trailer theses days?

Any one know how much that deck boat starts at? The wife loves it, and I'm guessing it will respond favorably to a little horsepower....

thanks for the photos and information everyone! It sounds like these are excellent boats. I like the 19' but I'm probably going to lean toward the 21' so that I can fit 4 heads in it.

I like the 19' Stealth, but I would also go with the 21' Phantom. I would call Tom Papp or John at J&M Marine to ask questions about the cost. I happen to know the approximate cost of the 21' Phantom and a 21' Daytona. The Daytona is around $37,900 with a jet and an inclosed no frills motor. When you call Papp or John and get their price, your jaw will drop and you definately won't even consider the other boats. Way more cost effective!

Cyclone, the 19 will fit four people with the motor moved back and a bench instaled in rear,my boat had a 13 inch driveline with a back seat in it when i bought it.But took rear seat and moved motor forward and front seats back, good luck,i would definatly call tom.

Yeah, but where do you put an ice chest with four people in a 19' tunnel jet? IMHO, I would not sacrifice set up on a 19' (ie by moving the motor back) just to squeeze in a bench seat. If you do, you end up with batteries, fuel pumps, and all other rigging in places that are impossible to get to when work needs to be done. If you want comfortable seating for four and room for an ice chest, get a 21'. If a blistering fast machine is more a priority, go the 19' fully realizing you have a comfortable 2-seater + ice chest. Good Luck! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
