Outdrive Noise

I was thinking about buying a boat with a 502 & merc owner says it has a noise in the outdrive up where it couples to the motor he thinks it is a bearing in the front of the outdrive,
i know this is not alot of info but i havent got to hear the noise yet and wondering if it is a big job to repair somthing like that. should i keep on looking

Probably the gimbal bearing and/or u-joint. Not a big deal (unless you don't fix it).
