Has anyone powdercoated their jet housing. Seems durable enough. Factory stuff looks like an epoxy, but. I just had all of my trim pieces done, no more faded parts. I plan on pulling the jet and BBC this winter, and just think the jet would look to cool in color.

I have power coated my pumps and they still look good after 2 years.

Powder coating IS epoxy. It is applied electrostatically as a powder, then fused with heat.

I've done a couple for some friends and they have held up well. powder coat is a dry resin
with pigment.

I looked at custom cruisers work last week and I'm not sure about longevity, but the colors sure looked good!

I had my gauge bezels and vents (to name a few) done last week in a candy apple blue, and must say I am impressed. Now I want to pull the pump and do it, since its about the only thing not colored on the boat. 22 parts cost me $215. I could have put twice as many parts in the oven, but was just trying to get he easy ones done. Just wait till winter.
I had my pump powdercoated black about 7 yrs ago. Has held up perfectly except for the rudder for obvious reasons with minimal amount of coating coming off. Go for it!
