View Full Version : Side rubber rail guard turning off-white
Question- My side rubber rail guard is turing off white, it makes the boat look older then it is. My rubber is screwed in about every 6 inches, not the one that slides through the rail. Before changing it for a new one, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make it bright white again. someone told me to use acetone.. anyone know...

I've used acetone and it worked great.

I heard that CLR stuff works pretty good. I'm sure somone is going to suggest, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

If it is white rub rail, you can take a scouring pad, the rough side of a sponge and go to town, if that does not do it, HB told me to take a fine grit sand paper and it will look as good as new.

Try softscrub with bleach and a tooth brush. That is what I tried and it did not damage the rail
