I have a 30FT profile with a 800hp 540 and 750lbs of torque, do I need to have anything done to the XR outdrive? Any help would be greatly apprecieated

That's going to depend on how you drive the boat. My 28 cat has a stock XR behind a 598 that makes similar hp numbers to your motor, but with a little more torque. It's lived for 3 seasons now, knock on wood, but that's pretty mellow lake use, not a lot of time spent crashing through waves and getting airborne. If you're running that combo hard offshore, I'd bet that XR won't last long. If/when mine blows up, I'll probably have a place like Max Machine go through and upgrade some parts. Good luck!

It will last for a bit if you baby it, but not forever.....
I got away with a full season at 620HP......
At 800+, start saving your money.....about $5-6K or so........
Oh yea....and call Aaron at Max and start that relationship.....
You'll be needing it !!!!!!
I have 55 Hrs as of today at 875 HP on my Max drive......
LOVE IT !!!

Thanks for the info, are you running their alum top cap? What does Max Machine do to upgrade a drive?
