I am sure that i am a little slow and uninformed, but WTF is that black rod hooked ontop of the scoop. Whats this 'Next Year' stuff. Harve shut down or sumfin?
Oh yeah, and like everyone else want to know 'real' DETAILS.
CID?
CAM?
INTERNAL GOODIES?
PUMP?
IMPELLER?
SETUP?
EXPECTED RPM AND MPH?
WHEN CAN I GET A RIDE? (if under 90mph)
DOES IT PULL SKIIERS
Dam, very Dam nice color scheme. What, are you tired of going fast and not having your teeth rattling in your head at the least wake or wind. :D

WTF is that black rod hooked ontop of the scoop.
That keeps the rope from getting caught on the engine...and doubles as a ski tow :D

I really do not know all the specs ... Its a 87 Advantage 18 ' hull ... old school 468 inch mill ... big roller cam ... 13 to 1 compression ... two 1150 cfm dominators ... not sure about the pump ??? I think its got an AA impeller ...The boats set up for drag racing and runs well ... first thing I need to do is add an alternator ...
Mike... the black rod is for keeping the hold line from getting tangled in the scoop .

Looks great Bob. Nice boat for the next "Crossing", LOL. Anyway, lots of luck with it. Can't wait for a ride in it. I bet you are running out of room in the garage with this latest addition.

Justed wanted to mention...(pump boy's) new toy was actually in the video I sent around to some 30 boaters several years ago for the 1'st ever BOTE...remember?
It was seen and herd burning up the waters of Havre and I zoomed in on the tach at I (belive) was 8500 rpm.
If I tell any more...Bob will kill me. :notam:  :p

Bill ... the other boat is nice for the days when the chesapeake bay gets chopped up . I plan on keeping it.
This new to me boat is just for the BOTE events.

Yes BottleFed,
Rich is a friend of mine ... he is heavy into bikes now and no longer is interested in the boat thing. Rich has always been a class act in my opinion. He takes care of all his toys ... 200 mph bikes to his crazy fast sleds!

Now here's a post I can get behind. Congratulations on finding a nice ride, your good taste in watercraft and being able to drag this lurker out of the woodwork. Here's mine, and yep, it's an '87.
You see I do get to use it occasionally. Now just where'd that beer get to?

I'm not much of a photographer, so here I have to fix whatever pics I take.
For example.

I have a place at Deep Creek Lake, MD so I keep it up there. It's convenient for weekends up at the lake but presents a logistical problem when the B.O.T.E events come up and I'm here and the boat is up there. Actually, the interior is high on my projects list. Up close it is starting to show it's age. Anyone know a good (local) supplier for marine vinyl?
I may be prejudiced but Rogers and later Advantage sure make a pretty boat.
