Listening to Everlast, Whitey Ford Sings the Blues yesterday afternoon on my way home, track 4, "from the bad lands all the way to the Apollo, if your broke she'll spit but if your rich she might swallow". I love that line, anybody else have any lyrics that they have stuck in there minds that they might like to share???

I'm a freak, I like the girls with the boom,
I once got busy in a burger King bathroom!
Ok, who knows what song that is from?
Don't really have a favorite, but these will do for now...
" If you don't wana party, your a s s gotta go" DMX
Your mommy told you this
And your daddy told you that
Always think like this
And never do that
You learned so many feelings
But what is there to that
Which are really yours
Or are you just a copycat
Youre so boring boring boring
Always tape machine recording
Youre so boring boring boring
Ive heard all this before
Planless and mindless
Scraps from anywhere
Bunch of used parts
From garbage pails everywhere
Frankenstein became a monster
Just like you
Your scars only show
When someone talks to you
Youre so boring boring boring
Always tape machine recording
Ive heard all this before
Ive heard all this before
Your emotions make you a monster

Linkin Park this Am to get my morning started.
"If i'm killed by the question like a cancer, then I'll be buried by the silence of the answer".
Those boys are heavy, I was really listening to the lyrics in all of their songs this morning and they have some very profound thoughts...

I know! Linkin Park has really emotionally gripping lyrics ... one of my fave lines from one of their songs is "even the people who never frown
eventually break down" . I have yet to hear a Linkin Park song that I didn't like or couldn't relate to in some way. They rock!

Some vintage Buffet stuf, and my all-time favorite.
Reading departure signs in some big airport
Reminds me of the places Ive been
Visions of good times that brought so much pleasure
Makes me want to go back again
If it suddenly ended tomorrow
I could somehow adjust to the fall
Good times and riches and son of a bitches
Ive seen more than I can recall
These changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes
Nothing remains quite the same
Through all of the islands and all of the highlands
If we couldnt laugh we would all go insane

Just listening to one of my fave songs Leonard Cohen's Closing Time I love this line ..."looks like freedom but it feels like death
it's something in between, I guess
it's CLOSING TIME"
He is one hell of a lyricist! Speaking of deep profound thinking. :D

I WAS DRUNK THE DAY MY MOM GOT OUT OF PRISON
AND I WENT TO PICK HER UP IN THE RAIN
BUT BEFORE I COULD GET TO THE STATION IN MY PICKUP TRUCK
SHE GOT RUNNED OVER BY A DAMNED OLD TRAIN
Bonus points to whoever gets this one.. :D

Saw the train comin,
stayed on the tracks,
saw the knife in her hand,
turned my back.
Yes I am a pirate
two hundred years too late
the cannons dont thunder
there's nothin to plunder
I'm an over 40 victim of fate
arriving too late
arriving too late
