Remember back for OP6V and OP6VII how a ton of the threads were OP6 related? I participated in those threads so I wasn't really aware if the threads got on peoples nerves like the Beaumont ones. But then again, OP6 threads are boating related. :D

I think the problem folks have here is this...... The 1.65% is providing at least 80% of the thread topics at the Sandbar. Fun for Beaumont folks (1.65%) but not so fun for the remaining 98.34%.
Trust me, I'm not a hater (well maybe of the illegals!!) and I'm part of an even smaller group with the Pyramid Posse, but when you have to go through multiple threads on the same topic -Beaumont Stickers- for example, then 20 other threads about god knows what before you can get to some normal (normal; meaning how it was a few months ago) threads it just gets boring and old quick.

I think the Rev. brings up a great point. The Pyramid Posse is a group of people who ACTUALLY GO to lake Pyramid ! And when they post, they talk about when they are going, who is going, who's boat is going to be there and then they post about how much fun they had and what they did, now that is my idea of a useful club on ***boat. And I dont know what their titles are, but if I recall its something along the line of "Pyramid Posse Member", I'm not sure if they have an accountant or a real esate agent or a masseuse or even an official coffee brewer. Ya know, the Beamont thing is not that big of a deal folks, to have so many thread asking it to go away is rediculous. As has been pointed out by Beaumontians and Non-likers of Beaumontians alike, many other topics have also spawned tons and tons of like threads with pages and pages of posts. Where were all the thread police then? Probably participating in what you're supposed to do in an online forum, you post, read, respond, laugh, get pissed, have fun, read, post, relax, and get on with your life.
They will calm down as time goes on and they will even subside completely, kinda like a swarm of quakes, they'll diminish in time. The Sandbar has been, at least ever since I've been blessed with membership, a place to get together online and have a good time. Perhaps we as a community (Beaumontians) should coagulate the like thread, and probably we don't need 5 on any one subject, that is a legitemate argument, but to want something so innocuous and harmless to go away just to make room for drama or what have you is idiotic at best.
This is just my take on things and I'm a nobody, but I just can't believe all the "I have Beaumont" threads lately, it doesn't seem to fit the mold here...

BTW, Debbolas joined in March of this year and is one of the top posters and it's only taken her about a 1/2 year to do what others have done in YEARS. She's averaging 41 posts per day! How can anyone post so often and have so little to say? Ugh :yuk:

I agree on this Beaumont thread stuff, it's old. I think most of these guys are just trying to race to get the most posts witch is lame too. Every other thread is Beaumont or I just reached 500 posts etc. Get a life people. Lets see more pics of river, parties, and good times. Okay, there is always room for more, but here is the difference, they are dishing out red pts like crazy over this. If it's just a joke and they don't get it or are tired of it, I am sorry, but don't read it. Don't dish out red points, insulting the person and then not be person enough to sign it. (if it was important enough to give it, stand up and be recognized. I give greens for fun, I don't give reds even to the peeps that I don't paticularly like.
I have never said anything bad (in a serious fashion) about anyone on any thread (with the exception of the couple above this) and I have been insulted, slanderd and had very innappropriate things written to me.

Okay, there is always room for more, but here is the difference, they are dishing out red pts like crazy over this. If it's just a joke and they don't get it or are tired of it, I am sorry, but don't read it. Don't dish out red points, insulting the person and then not be person enough to sign it. not sure what you meant by that, but I have been a member of the forums for over 4yrs now (previously under a different name) and I have yet to bite myself in the ass. I have said nothing on here that I regret saying or should be ashamed of and if I have feel free to point that out. If your getting reds, do what I did, take a look at your posts, if your offending people, take responsibilty and deal with it. If your dishing out reds to be a jerk, live with yourself, cause I don't think many people really care.
