Is any one running a inducer in their pump? if so how doe's it work? and do you need to get a new shaft to put one in? Thank's Ty

I haven't used one yet, you have to pull your pumpshaft out and machine it on a lathe to accept the inducer front of the impeller. If you got high HP & RPM ,try a one size bigger impeller instead of machining the shaft and buying the inducer. My 0.02 only

from what i have been told they reduce cavitation at the start because they load the impeller.you can have your shaft machined to accept the inducer impeller.Call mpd and ask him about it.949 631-2040

Bakerman, are you having a cavitation problem or looking just looking to gain something?

I've got a cavitation reducer. I guess it helped some. I don't think I would classify it with sliced bread as far as great inventions though. I was hoping for something so I could just mat the throttle from a dead stop and it doesn't do that. Maybe with a lower hp engine you could mat the throttle. It seems like if you floor it from a dead stop the engine will overspeed the pump a few hundred rpm and then that mini-me impeller gets the water moving and loads the pump. Now if someone were to stack up two of them ahead of the impeller, HMMMM
Fat Rat, You've got one don't you? What did you think?

I had MPD install one in my boat which has a pretty mild motor. I noticed a nice improvement in holeshot and pulling up skiers or boarders.
