What can used from my current LS6 if I wanted to bare block a 502? Such as pan, crank, heads, intake.

Everything but the pistons if you buy an aftermarket block.
If you buy a GM block, add also crank, cam, lifters, timing chain set, oil pan and timing cover.

Specifically looking at 10237292 from gmpartsdirect.com for $1460. I'll make the assumption they sell GM blocks. After getting the add'l parts you listed, do these motors mount the same or am I modifying my stringers?

It mounts the same.
Also that block will not take a mechanical fuel pump. have to use electric.
Why not spend an extra 500 and get a Merlin III or Dart block? You will spend more than that on the above mentioned parts. For what you intend to spend you can buy the 572 short block ready for your heads.
