SHOCKWAVETOM

The ADR was off the hook. Last night Greg was setting up GG drinks for anybody who wanted some. I tried some for the first time and as you can see by the time they were right. Clean alcohol=no hangover :). I think that after I had a few of those GG drinks was when I started wrestling a few friends to the ground and beating them with a leg from a broken chair....lol
It was awesome running up/down Lake Mohave with everybody. It got pretty choppy coming accross the basin....I would suspect 3 feet rollers with an occasional bigger one but we rode right on top and thru with no problems with the SW. Got to see Bling Bling tear it up multiple times. I still can't believe that boat...It sure would be nice to have a toy like that :)
Many, many stories will come out and be told. Yes, those D Row posse do run it hard. Harder than Beaumont? I don't know but everybody was well represented. I am not going to start naming everybody I met because I don't want to leave anybody out. Lets just say it was a good time on the lake with some amazing boats and lots of good peeps!
Thanks for coming out everybody.....Next year will be one in the Spring and one in the Fall and that's it. We can keep it fresh and not wear it out.
Alright....lets hear the stories and see the pics :0)

What a weekend! :D It was great meeting everybody and putting faces with the names. These events are one of the things that make the river a great place. A big thanks to racecar.hotshoe for the ride all day Saturday in your boat. You and your wife are great people and glad we had the chance to meet up. Friday night I cruised in solo and met a couple of the guys at the bar and then headed over to the lawn and stayed up way top late. Saturday morning was great water and a smooth ride up to Willow Beach. Staurday night was a blast and when 6 Dollar Boat broke the chair he was sitting in I about lost it. We had the daquari wacker going Sat. night, but when the mix ran out bartender Bling started pouring Goose with a heavy hand. I can't begin to name everybody I met, but it great meeting new people and seeing a lot of you again. Once I dowload my pics I'll post them

Yes, a very nice week-end. Great to meet everyone. The boys were running it hard on the grassy knoll last night. I think I have a little video of the singing before the batt. went dead. The run through the basin was a blast. I'am ready for the spring run. The first two were fun but this one rocked.
A few pic's to follow. Thanks, Tom & Leon great time.

What a GREAT RUN! :D Tom thanks for putting this together. These last few trips to Mohave were off the hook! One of the best boating spots anywhere. And yes running that water back through the basin on the way back was one of the highlights for me! 55-65mph though those 3-4 footers is way too much fun! Makes me like my boat even more than before.
Thanks out to RTJ for helping me with my boat all weekend and for the orange goose, brews, and lunch at Cottonwood!
Thanks soooo much to the Havasu Hangin's for the outstanding cocktails and cigars! Your boat is awesome! Thanks for letting us tie off to your boat in the marina.
What a way to end the summer. Couldn't have picked a better way!

It looks like you guys had a great time. We missed not being there with ya!
Concerning picture sizes, if you are running Windows XP, you can download and install a free "PowerToy" add-in from Microsoft's web site:
Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx)
After you download and install the "Image Resizer", when you right-click on an image, you will have a new menu item available called "Resize Pictures". Select this menu item and a small application will run and give you the option to resize the image in four standard sizes, or you can choose a custom size (click advanced).
Let's see those pics! :hammer2:

Big Warlock
10-11-2004, 12:55 PM
I enjoyed leaving Katherine's Landing and turning the corner with most of the boats hitting over 65mph. Can you imagine being one of the boats we passed on the lake? WTF!!!!!!
The Scarab threw a rod out of Cottonwood. Towed him back with the Warlock and loaded them on. Engine is already apart and assessing the damage. The gas attendant in Cottonwood said he had never seen that many boats going together. Wanted to know what was going on. They were waiting for us to come back through in the early afternoon. The ride home was great through that chop! No one remembers the glass ride we had on the way up.
Tom, thanks for putting it all together. Although I didn't get to meet everyone, it was nice meeting the people I did. RK, thanks for the great pics you took all day! You need to post some of them when you get a chance.
I am surprised more is not said of the near death of Playa?? Christopher Reed dies and the way people are acting, you'd think some of just went fishing with him this past weekend?!? :220v: Shak Yo Azz tries to kill his wingman and no one says a word??? :argue: Man was flying like spiderman from his account! And then managed to save the Commander and his life in a fantastic move!! Shak yo Azz "docks" Playa on the dock!
What kind of material were those shorts made of?? I bet you could lay that stuff and glass it and have a kevlar type substance that would never crack!! (Certainly not flex. Might sell it to Kachina???) Can someone relate the story in a separate thread? Damn it was good.
Frenchie thanks for the eats and hospitality. Couldn't figure out whay you made so much food? You were very generous with your ASADA until it came out that you had been dumped by your boys. While you were slaving over the stove and bar b cue, they were happily eating dinner in the Whale's Tail on Bling Bling's tab!!! Damn this is really a rough crowd!! Still the ASADA tacos were great.
Catalina run has to be next! Hook up in Newport Beach at the Dunes and end up at Woody's for the party that evening. Have to get that organized!!! Hyatt at the Dunes is a great place to stay. I like to valet the boat. Ask Shak yo Azz about BWB. That was a great story as well.
Glad everyone got home safe. :crossx: :crossx:

Your not scared of alittle machine gun are you!!!!
Hey Jeff Carie really did look like she was having a Blast! Good to see you make a recovery.
She normally will not cut loose when the kids are around. Thank god she cracked that bottle of captain. She seems to be back in the saddle again. It's amazing what alittle bit of alcohol will do.
Those D-row Boyz Weebble but they don't fall down. LOL
Who are you kidding!!! We fall, just no one is normally watching!! LOL
If you had gone with Team Zip tie those two wires wouldn't have popped off.
Charley would have felt to comfortable in a DCB and would have wanted to drive all day!!! We cant have that now can we!!!!
Those wires are just a BS MSD problem that they need to address. The spade terminals break, and its not the first time. I guess its time to solder the fockers on there!!!

:hammer2:
Thanks Jason, that was easy, and it saved me 100 bucks. Now I don't have to buy a photo program. We really missed you guys out there..... next time :D .

Shak Yo Azz, great meeting you as well. I am up for a Catalina trip whenever it comes out. November is always a good month, toward the end? Or at the very begining. I am in Mexico from the 4th to the 14th.
I laughed damn hard on those stories. We'll take it to Newport and have a great time!

I didn't even bother to change for dinner or the party on Sat night. Oh well. I'll be out there this weekend Matt, so lets try and meet up.

He made sure to wear his contacts this trip. Wait, this goes out to 3DO too, well, okay it goes out to everyone out there really. But how did he get a hold of one of those Grey Goose drinks?? :D

Just had to say THANKS for a great time. It only keeps getting better. Rolled in late friday night. Got a late start Saturday morning but caught up with everyone at Cottonwood then Willow and met up LHC30 always a pleasure and met up with Cola, 6 Dollar, DHO, River4Us, Force26 and several others nice meeting you again. Got to thank HDD for keeping me in the group picture wasn't sure if the boat in background would make it. Sunday night had several too many at the slip  and didn't make it to the BBQ. Just want to thank everyone for the invite. Next time I will walk with acouple bottles of Goose and formely introduce myself.

I can see straight again! :D Great weekend, great run, great night time BBQ. Great new friends and always great to see old ones again. Damn I'm glad I stayed at the motel instead of Tom's gutter. I actually got some sleep this time! :rollside:
My crew had a great time and the boys, (15 year olds) will never forget this trip for sure! (Thanks Ladies) :D I thought the whole crew was gonna be pretty tired of the basin chop but that was one of the best parts for everyone. What a ride! LOL!
My only regret from the trip is not seeing Bling running hard in my vicinity. DAM! Oh well, got to meet him and 3do at least in GA. Never knew peeps with so much $$$$ could be so regular! And those drinks! LOL! Oh and still no ride Mrs Racer! WTF!?
Thanks to Tom and Leon again, great way to end the summer season.
You Leon Tom and everyone else were great. I wanted to give you three a ride, next time. I'm still amazed at how fast that lake is. On friday, 5 people and 240 gallons of gas that boat of mine ran 152mph with Tomslicks camera rollin.
I about died watching Tom and those 2 woman rollin around on the grass. That was worth all the Goose in France. If it was not Tom who ever, it was funny as hell. I also liked the part where I could not stand that singing by River 4 us, so I pulled my truck on the grass to drowned him out. :D. The part I could do with out is Frenchie french kissin his dog, WTF :D
I was trying to explain to a buddy of mine how many different types of people were their and how everybody gets along, no drama no attitudes, and no one hattin on each other, that right there makes the trip.
Friday i was f**k up. If i pissed anyone off sorry. I have not been that twisted 4 quite some time. When i start punching lamps i'm on my way. SYA i'm very sorry about that, and if you get a bill 4 it let me know.
Cadie and i are very happy to have you all included us. Thanks We had a blast, and looking forward to the spring.

Hey guys, that wasn't me! Maybe you got me confused with Up4River? My kids were beat after playing soccer, tag, and hide & go seek with some of the other kids. My wife took the 4 y/o to bed after 10 and I took the 6 y/o to bed around 11 and crashed with him.
At some point I thought I heard a group rendition of "took my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry" but figured it was just a dream. DID I MISS SOMETHING?
We had a great time as well. Didn't quite get to meet everyone that I wanted too but did get to meet some great people for the first time including:
Framer1 & Propchecker (Bruce & Dan?) - had a good time shootin the shit Friday night
Mrs. DustyTimes (Rebecca) - talked to her for a while Friday night and borrowed her 2 daughters to play soccer and ride scooters with my 2 boys. Never got to meet Mr. DustyTimes though. I may have to PM him as I have some questions relating to the business he is in.
SoCalHD (Chris) - Always nice to see a fellow Caliber 1 owner out there each trip. Thanks to you and your crew (Mr. & Mrs. Racer277?)for the help tying up at the slip.
Mike37 (Mike, Casey, & Thomas) - sorry I forgot your wife's name  Real down-to-earth people that are easy to talk to. Enjoyed some down-time on the beach with them on Sunday afternoon. Special "shout out" to Thomas for playing with my boys. My wife couldn't figure out why my 4 y/o kept calling him "Train". He was associating him with Thomas the Train!
LHC30Victory (Mimi & Ted?) - I'm so bad with names I hope I got his right :frown: Thanks for letting us tie up 2" in front of you in GA. Also, the chili was great. My 6 y/o didn't eat as he was playing too much. When we went to bed at 11, he decided that he wanted some more chili. Went to take a look and the pot was already upstairs. I saw you come down to party some more but I didn't want to put you out. Mimi, thanks for pulling us in next to you in the middle of the group. That's the only way to meet people!
Charley (Charley & Jen) - nice to finally meet you. The kids just look up to Charley ssoooo much (which is kinda hard to do :D ) Like someone said earlier it's amazing how "average" the 'BIG DOGS' really are. I talked to Jen for 20 mins or so and she's as nice as can be. 2 great people!
Kilrtoy (Miguel) - we have a mutual friend and finally got to meet. Thanks for letting me borrow the kids to play soccer and to sing happy birthday to my son.
6DollarBoat - Sorry, it's late and I'm bad with names. We chatted with him and the Mrs. up at Willow about the Angels score and found out he grew up where we live now.
Force26 (Gary) - Sorry we weren't able to download the pics for the CD you were going to burn. I'll try to post some of them Wednesday.
Nodigg (Rick) - got to meet him Friday in GA and saw him relaxing there again on Sunday.
BajaMike (Mike) - same as above.
ShockwaveTom - we've actually met Tom on a few occasions on Mohave but I jsut wanted to add him and say thanks for organizing this "non-event"!
Time for the disclaimer: Sorry if I left anyone out. And for those that I didn't get to meet, there's always the spring dam run!
P.S. - I was the guy who climberd up the hill in GA and took some group pics so I'll try to post them some time Wednesday.

Maybe next Dam Run I can take you up on that ride BB. I am glad you got to come out to Mohave a couple of times. I still can't believe you had not been on Mohave before that last Dam Run. I love Mohave...you can party a bit or really get away from everybody and find your own cove when you want to.
The girls never took me down by the way :)...It was Lisa (a friend of mine for almost 30 years) and Karen (my next door neighbor). I found out later my son Justin gave Lisa a club to hit me with. I got it from her and spanked their asses right there. There was some woman (I don't know who it was) that was going to come and get me for being too rough with them. Brenda cut her off and explained that I was not hurting them and that we play like that from time to time. Pretty funny when you think about it but I am glad Brenda got her before she got to me....lol
Thanks again for the GG drinks. They were real tasty. The second one seemed a lot stronger than the first one. It was kind of like rocket fuel....lol
Later
Tom

Ah Bling! I happy you pulled your truck up as well, because I was in no shape or form to be singing that song or any other song for that matter. I told 6 Dollar that night I still didn't know what a real Goose drink tasted like because all I seemed to be getting was goose on ice! :rollside: Good times were had by all and good seeing and meeting everbody again.
