RPM @ Launch

A question for the drag racers out there. When you are at a dead stop, and click the air shifter into gear, what RPM are you at? And when you mash the gas what RMP are you at?

At idle about 1400. When you click it in gear and mash gas it will drop to 1100 you should be able to do both simultaneouslyand see minimal drop in rpms.

I am at 1500 rpm at idle, but if you watch the tac when shinfting into gear, it drops to about 750 rpm just for that moment. Mashing the gas a 750 I get a small stumble. Sounds like I need to be faster on the gas.

There is a slight carb lag when you mash it. you can do them both at the same time. It may help.

Will you be making any more trips to CFW this fall? Iam hoping to get out on the 23rd to practice some launches. I still have not mastered the launch without a bounce or two.
