I heard about that Mike. Apparently you've got quite a voice there. Sorry I missed that one! NOT!
The post headers are sorta cryptic Dan. Names like "A few pictures from FCII" and stuff.

Not knocking on Cali but is there any place to go where the water is calm. There are a couple of rivers around here that are protected by trees and they stay calm all the time.

Taylor, the water there is great and always calm. It was only rough in that one spot because it is right in front of camp and that's where people were running back and forth for pictures and what not.

Yupper what the pumper said. You could go 1/4 mile up or downstream of camp and run as fast as ya wanted to.

That boat belonged to a guy that lived at Big River.
He leaves it there all week, and comes to play on
the weekends. Although, with the way he drank I
am suprised that he could get up the next day!
Wow he was lit!!

I saw one run (don't know if there were more) and Mike is cavitating really bad out of the hole. Once he hooks up watch out, it just takes a few seconds to load the impeller.

I would like to hear the stories you heard. People told me what they saw too. But I will give you what I thought, and Mike you can agree or disagree.
Mike had a small jump out of the hole, enough where I could see him out the corner of my eye, then I got going to where I couldn't see him. Then about 600-800 feet my boat started to get loose from the rough water. As I was settleing the boat back down he came back into my vision and continued on to what looked like a full 1/4 mile pass. If I would of stayed in the throttle I would of wrecked. Needless to say it would of been very close if we would of both been able to run out the back door. From the video that was posted it kinda hard to tell whos leading who, my boat comes in and out of the frame and people's heads were in the way. But from the video that I could see I was ahead when the camera was perpendicular to the river. It would be interesting to see other video if there is any.
Still no matter what I had fun.

I was on the water and you guys ran right past me. Shortly after the start BG was pullin and was in the lead by about a boat. As you guys were passing me Cyclone started pulling hard but then BG got into some nasty water and clearly got out of it. Nobody can say what would have happened because it didn't. The only solution is for a rematch in better conditions. How about Ming, Brian. :D Anyway both boats run really hard and look great. BTW if you watch the video and pause it at the 3 second mark you can see me on the bottom and I am clearly in front of Cyclone at that point even if I'm only idleing. :D

i thought i saw people taking more pics that this, come on guys! we all keep checkin in to see if there are anymore, but.........no more!
HMMM!, makes me wonder if all of you forgot to put film in the cameras?
i feel like a dumbass, i brought both video as well as my camera and have about,.......NO pictures! lol
after i found that my boat ran,...it was all about over!
had way too much fun! almost forgot to eat! lol

Sounds like the race wasnt really a race, and from the looks of the video, you guys hardly were paired up at the start, and you didnt leave togethor at all, there will always be next time.
BG, we would love to see that thing out to run river race with us, you have the boat to do it, might as well bring it out.
Ill pay half your entry fee if you bring it out. :D
Nice meeting you last weekend, you should come hang out with us more at the river.

I'm going to start by thanking Roostwear for putting in the time and effort to organize this outing, and thanks for the t-shirt.
It was cool hangin with everyone and I hope the FC buzz will grow and eventually become a major bash.
The boats that impressed me the most were,,, The psi Blown yellow Cheyanne, HB Jets Eliminator, Cyclones boat, Rolands wacker, Todds Rogers, Proppas cruiser, Darrins Sanger flat and the blue t-deck canyon jet. I would have liked to seen Tommy McGraths Daytona run but theres allways next time. ;) . I wasnt that impressed with BGmans boat since it could be a lot faster. :D
I'm not too sure why we had so many people down at the other park? I was told there were lots of empty spaces at the RV park where this whole thing was supposed to be headquartered. It kinda sucked since there were some cool boats down there that I never really saw.
Thanks to whomever left the license plate frame on my boat, I'm assuming it was a gift.
As K-flat mentioned, we will post a sample video clip from the footage I shot by the end of the week.
Nice to meet you guys and see you at the races.

Jerry, glad you made it... can't wait to see what you shot. Heard you have some footage of how NOT to boat..... probably have my wheelie in that segment! :hammerhea Thanks for the video, too. Great stuff as always....now my oldest has the urge for a v-drive. :D One reason a few were down at the park was how close it is to the Inn. Will FC grow? Don't know, but if it's what people can get into, it'll do it all on it's own. We'll see in the spring when FC3 rolls around. Maybe a few more v-drives will show. Since we now know jetters and v-drivers can have fun without drama, it might bring a few diehards out. We didn't even have to hold hands and sing Kumbayah....... :2purples:

cyclone
10-13-2004, 12:02 PM
my view of the "cyclone vs. bgman race"...
I was a bit overzealous with the throttle at the start, cavitated the pump, hit the chip at 7,000 rpm, and got smoked out of the hole by a damn quick boat. With that said.....
Brian- bring it to Ming and in the good water the outcome will be a bit different. Regardless of what the folks on the shore saw, your boat hauls ass!
