I NEED HELP ! LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE TO REPLACING THE FUEL TANKS IN MY '72 CHEETAH. THEY NEED TO BE SADDLE TANKS THAT DO NOT MEASURE MORE THAN 16" IN HEIGHT AND NO WIDER THAN 10" (LENGHT IS NOT A PROBLEM). EVERYTHING THAT I FIND IS 17 1/2" TALL. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO LOOK? I'M STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF KANSAS SO EMAIL ADDRESSES OR PHONE NUMBERS WOULD BE BEST.

HUSTLER -- CHECKED THEM OUT BUT AGAIN RAN INTO THE HEIGHT PROBLEM. HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE AND HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE MY OWN WITH TRI-WOVEN FIBERGLASS. CAN LET YOU KNOW THIER SUGGESTED WAYS IF YOUR INTERESTED. BOATERSWORLD.COM CAN ORDER TANKS FROM TEMPO PRODUCTS BUT IT IS A ROYAL PAIN TRYING TO GET COSTS. CHECK THEM OUT THEY MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU.

72Cheettah,
Check out KSHMarine.com i just got an e-mail from them and they gave me a cost of $265 each complete for 25-30 gal. tanks. thats the best cost i've gotten for custom tanks if you can avoid it dont use fiberglass that is what i have now and they are junk. good luck and let me know how you make out.
