Marcel , why are you selling ? Great boat , but only a single ?

Chestah Cheetah

Just time for something different Atilla, keeping my options open. :)
You'd be surprised at the performance of this boat with a single - hops right on plane, no tabs required...dry boat only weighs 4500lbs.

Marcel , go to nwoffshore.com and place the ad there. There's a Profile in the NW poker run group that's like yours. Maybe someone would be interested . New someone who had an all red one with twin small blocks ,it hauled the mail pretty good. If I didn't already have some boats I would check yours out definitely .

Sold my 24' V-drive to a friend , and down to two boats + a 12' project [ launch boat with a vintage boxer marine engine ] . With the way gas prices
going I may use the little boat more this summer  :mix:, or better yet , I'll tag along on my buddy's boat we have just finished . Still needs some graphics to put on .

We've lucked with the build , since no CAD was involved. The center of gravity is bang on [ no tabs required] and the weight is almost dead on what we thought it would be , at 6700 lbs with full fuel.

One of the advanages of being deployed is you save lots of money not being able to spend it.
One of the disadvantages is seeing something like this and not being able to buy it 'cause you're on the wrong side of the planet.
I would buy it (in person) but G 'dub has other plans for me for a while.

I need to dig up an old pic where I wrapped the rear hatch with a HUGE Jolly Roger flag. Cruising through the maze of hundreds of boats through Mandeville Island in the Deltas with the hatch raised...ARRGHH! Fun times.

Drink a few for me!!!
I was curious about the cruising and top speed on the boat? I'm guessing 45 cruise and 60-65 up on top... But, w/ it sounding very near stock, it shoud be dead-ass reliable. That's worth about 30 mph in my book since I wanna ride not wrench.
Def post up the Jolly Rodger! That'd be SWEET!!!

Originally I was looking for this but it wasn't made big enough to fit around the hatch:
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/520/3400sdb.jpg
I like the way you think T! I always wanted to pick up an early 80's Scarab, paint it battleship gray, mount a couple of rocket launchers on the sides, a bow gun on the deck, and of course a radar arch with the Jolly Roger.

I'm wanting to buy a copy of Photoshop so I can screw around w/ the paint. But, when I leave Iraq my computer will prolly get wiped clean. That'd be $600 up a hog's ass.
DAQ... Have you ever heard of PDC? I bought my boat right after I got deployed and I was told it's a 1972 PDC, Cigarette but I haven't seen the title. I've searched and found nothing. I do know it had twin outdrives at one time. Rumored to be twin SBC's.
Any ideas as to what it really is?

Chestah Cheetah
05-27-2006, 08:45 AM
I kept trying to figure out what PDC was...I even read "Blue Thunder" (outstanding book about Don Aronow, founder of Cigarette and numerous other boat brands) that goes into detailed history but I don't remember anything about PDC. I would check OSO.

It does have the lines of a classic Magnum, just not sharp enough around the "windshield" area.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^That sounds like what was described to me.
I've been around the boat for 15+ years and know alot of the mechanical history of it. You know like the problems (lack there of) w/ the boat. I just thought it was ironic that the manufacturer wasn't easy to track down.\
Anyway, highjack over and now back to your boat....

Don't let summer pass you by boatless...
Looking to deal on this now, you just have to make the drive.

Nobody wants to make the drive - the market up here is very very thin for this type of boat compared to SoCal or Havasu - it's been real tough to try to even get someone here to look at it in person.
Maybe it's that fag on the bow in the cheetah suit :p
BTW, that's not me and that ain't no cheetah - he's in a lizard costume, total hit at Lost Isle. :rollside:
BTW, how's Jr.?

Beleive me, I don't mind using it and I have been enjoying it pretty much every weekend. So what's the boating like out there? I'm sure some of the boys have taken up residence in Saddam's private yacht...or is that thing in the Boat Trader also next to my boat.

You send me a cargo plane big enough and I'll be there...Imagine that, celebrating Indepence Day in Iraq.

As beautiful as it is, I'm going to need to cash out of this one for now. I wouldn't mind a lesser value trade (boat, car, bike etc.). Good luck to the both of us.

Couple of short running videos from Lake Don Pedro over the 4th of July weekend:
Video1 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5635681693738323701)
Video2 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7251110795693704495)
Anyone know how I would be able to just post a link that makes the your Windows Media Player pop up and play the video? The quality of the Google player is terrible.

I'm looking for some semi-flushmount running lights for my boat. It looks like you have something along those lines on yours. Any chance of a close-up?

I don't have a close up handy, but they're just like these:

Explanation time....
WHY hasn't this boat sold?
If I were in the States I would have recorded a lien and bought it by now....

Chestah Cheetah

Plain and simple: The San Francisco Bay Area is no market for a high performance boat compared to Los Angeles. If I had a wakeboard boat or fishing boat to sell, it would have been gone long ago. I get tons of emails and calls...95% from SoCal. Even though I took 7 flights, in one day, to arrive in Texas to get this thing - it seems that nobody (so far) has been willing to drive 5 hours from SoCal to see it.
I have had a couple of local tire kickers come by. Mainly inexperienced guys with funny questions: "How many people can you fit on top of the deck? Can
I drive top speed while they are sitting on top?" :rollside:
Don't get me wrong, I do currently have 3 very interested buyers - however, it's not sold yet.

Sure can. I used to tow it with a 2WD 1/2 ton 5.3, lifted.

That's what it said on the Profile web site...about the 304v which is basically your boat?

Chestah Cheetah

It has to be. Looks to be the same hull with different deck. I highly doubt they went and tooled another one. Those extra 14" probably come from the integrated swim platform - so true running surface would be 29' - like mine.
