That's Squaw Lake on the Cali side just North of Yuma, if you look in the background you can just barely make out Hidden Shores, Lake Martinez is about a 20 minute boat ride North...

There are many prop boats out there, most under 25'. A majority are jet boats and wackas though. You just need to know how to read the water when you are out there and you should not have a problem.

My old boat was a prop, gets shallow in some areas, it's sandy though, no rocks. What kind of boat are you runnin? If it is too big 24' or bigger I wouldn't suggest it.
From South Orange County I would guess it is about 4.5 to 5hrs, it takes me from North SD County about 3.5 hrs, it is worth the drive.

LMAO!! At that stretch of the coast the only boats you see with motors are center console fishing boats. (and I don't mean those bad Cobras either :D ) No Hairless Kittys buzzing the beach. Man wouldn't that be fun. :D

Since it is 5 hours from OC, I might as well stay going to the regular lakes (Mead, Mohave, Havasu & the Parker Strip). My boat is a 22 foot Eliminator.
It looks like a great place for jet boats.

Yeah Baby, Yeah! We camp at Squaw sometimes. It is clean, safe and now has hot showers I heard. You can leave the boat in the water all night. No current, and the water is warm.
I have dragged my skeg a few times, but it is all sandy bottom. You just gotta know the river a bit to keep it off the sandbars. :squiggle:
