Please excuse any silly questions I have really no knowledge of jet boats, so here it goes. I'm currently trying to sell a 16.5 open bow monark with a 1.6L OMC Seadrive outboard so I can hopefully purchase a nice jet in the $5000 range. I'm looking for something in the 18' to 19' range since I will be towing with 2003 Explorer w/4.0 V6. I have a family of 4 so I'd like something with a inclosed engine. I like the look of the Spectra 18 but I'd like some feedback on this boat? hows the ride? is it heavy? any info would be greatly appreciated. also if any one can recomend another good make and why, that would be awsome.

adam12,
I think the Spectra 18 is a good boat, it is built well and it has a good ride for the river. If you boat on Havasu or the other bigger lakes, I would go with the Spectra 20.
If you want specs on the Spectra 18 email me @ Brentloan@aol.com and I will forward them to you.
If you need more information go to www.spectramarine.com.

Thanks Brent, I will be emailing youfor those specs. How heavy is the 20 with trailer, I'm curious of the wait and if its possable to tow with my explorer. I think will be a streach.
