My Manifold, A weiand 7151, Has to be slid into place from the front to fit between the heads.
The edge under the blower stud holes hits my valve covers.
anyone know how to fix this?

Has your block been decked?
Weiand is the poorest quality manifold that you can get. Does it have a raised floor?
Might be e-bay material.

The Block has been decked and the heads milled nut I don't know by how much.

Block decked and heads milled by any more than just a hair = some possible intake milling as well.
Usually some push rod attention also.

Are these pics with intake gasket in place?

Go check it with a gasket....changes everything. Take the valve covers off and do it.

manifold won't fit. The ledge that the covers rest on gets in the way.

Why they make die grinders. Or use a BDS. I don't recall grinding on them.

ok, thanks.Fits almost perfect without a gasket.

With the valve covers off...intake gasket in place...set the thing on and see what kind of port match you have. That will tell you a lot in how much the heads or block have been cut. I have seen some cases where the manifold has to be ground on for valve cover clearance. Also pay attention to how much core shift is in the manifold.

With my mooneyham manifold, I have to turn the motor over until the valves are alligned just right to clear. Might try this first. Everyone was hoping my sheet metal valve covers wouldn't fit while watching me pull that one off. (Vultures) It is worth a shot, especially if the manifold is polished.

I had to get out the disc grinder..... made a mess but fits good now.
