Why buy that when you can get a nice used "REAL TRUCK", like a PETE or a KEN, from the auctions. You could do all of the custom work you wanted and still be way under those prices. The used trucks that have less than 500K miles are still 'good to go' and will (if taken care of) last a lot longer than the "bitchen deals" shown above. If you don't have a good parking place, just buy a pick up, but if you really need a REAL TRUCK to pull your toys, get a REAL TRUCK! Some of the (god love'um) owner operators took really good care of their 'rigs' and you could take advantage of that 'love of machine', think of it as "taking over the care" of the truck, and not "ripping out someone's heart", just for cash.

Good point. My old man bought a 92 Peterbilt cabover for $8,000.00 It had 450K miles on it. He puts about 200 miles a day on it every day and other then a couple minor things it has been trouble free. His loads are about 48,000lbs.
