Send the question. Worked the Gun Unit for LAPD, only local PD with a specific gun unit in the state.
I've said it before, most confusing set of laws in the state, one can be guilty of anything from an infraction to a felony based on very minute details.
I answer questions, what you do with them is up to you.
Hey Froggy, was at Range 116Alpha the other day, bet you spent sometime over there huh? The shoot house is a lot nicer than the one the Marines use.

Is that the one next to a 600 yard with bunkers and a 1000 without?
If so, that is bitchin. Moveable walls, poppers, movers, 270 degree range etc...
We are talking about Pendleton, right?

Since we're on this topic...I have a little "friend" which is called a Pistol but holds a 100 round rotary magazine of .22 LR rounds. While all 100 would be needed to stop anything serious, I'm wondering whether this gun is still legal in Calif or federally. It was never listed on any of the banned weapons by name. Anybody know?
Dana

That's it! Is it legal or should I be hiding?

That's it Froggy,
The shoot house at the Charlie range configured like a ship is great too.
Been down there 4 times in the last year, great RSO's and the BOQ is a great price.
Used range 223 for some rapid deployment drills too. Had a bison walk on and had to stop shooting/lol.
All .22LR (rimfire) weapons are legal as rimfire weapons do not fall under any assault weapons ban provisions.

Cool. So I can file off the tang that prevents automatic fire and have a nice li'l 100 round full auto toy! Or if I dont want to go the illegal route thru conversion, I can just cap off a couple of dozen rounds instead. HEHEHEHE.
