Does anyone know how to shrink a picture so I can put it in my avatar? I have a photo I want to use, but its too big--must be 150x150 megapixels. I'm sure this has been posted before...sorry :( I checked in the avatar rules section, but it doesnt say how to shrink them... :idea:

dont click on the pic to make it bigger.
When it is uploaded to the image center and they are all small, right click on that pic and it will fit

Thanx kilr...looking forward to meeting you at Frenchies..The pic is in my hard drive--do I need to put it somewhere else before I can use it in my avatar? :confused: When I open My Pictures and use the address for a custom avatar it says too big...SO COMPUTER LAME OVER HERE!!! :messedup: :messedup:

upload them to the image center first
when you first open the image center the pics are small. That is when you right click and save th properties and then place them into your sig.

Go to the ***boat.com web page then to the image center to upload. After that right click on the picture (small) and copy the properties. then post and insert in the image button.

Ok baby steps here. I just got my picture to the image center, but now im not sure how to get the picture from there to my avatar. Im not understanding, i understand the whole smaller picture concept but how do i get it to the Avatar section.

when you say right click the properties do you mean..... After right clicking, select properties, then highlight the URL and select copy, and then paste it into the avatar section? Thats what im doing but its saying there has been an error

Its ok I'm at work. Highlight in your image center (the small one-it might be a little large) and then paste in the edit avatar

Ok bunny I just saved your pic and tried to upload to my avatar and said its too large. try resizing to 150x100 and save to my pictures on your computer. then under edit avatar upload from your computer that should work

I just took your big one and resized and cropped in photoshop then reuploaded it as a 150x150 px image directly into your avatar settings.
