Yeah, I'm pretty dissappointed. I was ready to bust out my telescope to view it, although you don't really need a telescope to view it :D It's the last total lunar eclipse until March 2007.

We had nice clear skies but it wasn't as impressive as they were making it out to be, no red/orange/pink, just a dark shadow that slowly crept across, just like when you don't have a full moon. The kids stayed up for the show, but it put them to sleep.

From what I have read, the moon usually doesn't turn a deep red until it it completely shadowed, and I think totallity just hit (7:23).

Hmm...maybe that's why. Unfortunately some clouds came up when it was 98% there so we can't see it anymore either. Oh well, there's always 2007 :hammerhea

True. Maybe there will be some nice meteor showers this Nov and Dec. :)

Very funny....OK, let me go try again...lol brb
I'll be damned....turned around and there it was :) Clouds parted for me. Actually it doesn't look like anything special to me. I like to see the meteor showers while out in BHC though. You can see each and every one of them.
Did you use your........staff?
LOL :jawdrop:

I finally got a glimpse of it just a minute ago until the clouds covered it again, but the moon was already emerging from the earth's shadow. It still looked cool through some binoculars. Here's a cool pic of it in Seattle
