Went out to Havasu yesterday (Tuesday) to bring my boat and truck back to Dana Point.
The big rain storm was rolling in....this is taken from the Nautical Inn just before sunrise (6:30 a.m.) Wednesday morning.

I then drove through heavy rain all the way to Dana Point (about 300 miles of heavy rain).
Here is a rainbow from my house in Dana Point, looking towards the the ocean, at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

That is what they said in the past...but a couple good winters changed that...I still remember when Parker flowed over and all the lakes above filled up with one season of rain while we were supposed to have drout conditions for years...I don't believe the weather guys...A couple of good seasons (El Nino) can change things around and with early snow in the Western Slope rockies can start to change things..

Well if there's any year that could do it again this ould possibly be the year. Several of the ski resorts in Colorado are already opened. They are western range slopes. They havent opened the resorts this early in the season in years. :D

They had all the Nautical's pontoons beached in the cove. The other boats are the Nautical's rental Eliminators. I think there was only about ten people staying in the whole place.
I was the only customer at the Naked Turtle Tuesday afternoon....the bartender couldn't leave till I left....so I kept there until 9 or 10 that night.....I think

The water at Havasu was really high....almost up to the wood at the Turtle, and Parker was really low...not sure why.

I noticed the same thing last weekend. Their not letting much water out of Lake Havasu, consequently the lake is full, and the river is 3~4 feet low. I was afraid to launch on the river Saturday morning, missed breakfast at Roadrunner.

ok.. NOT.. :hammer2: Powell is still a fantastic place to boat! we were just out there on a house boat trip in October and we are going out this weekend. This weather will help add some more needed water to start filling her up again! :D

Lake Powell is really deep.....last time I was there, it was down 120 feet, and some places my depth gage was showing over 200 feet deep!

This cracks me up because last weekend I was out in Havi(working on house) but 90% of the boats I saw trailer by were pontoons or Gayliner types :p :p
