I have a 22 ft stryker with a 496 bbc with one dominator carburetor, 11-1 comp, 26 pitch bronson hill 4-blade prop,1.5 bravo one drive, imco setback box with 3-inch rise and 2- inch shortie lower gearcase. Boat ran 108 mph at 6900 rpms with no boost or nitrous. I never see normally aspirated boats that fast and was curious how many of you had similar boats and similar speeds. Motor is not dynoed but probably makes about 750 hp. It has 335 cnc'd dart pro one heads and edlebrock intake. Roller cam .671 lift 114 lobe sep, and @ .050 .274-.274 duration. Open exhaust over transom 2-3/8 id headers dry for testing. |What do you think. It is on board nordskog gps speedometor.

The boat that is in the 2nd pic is a PUMP GAS MOTOR, the motor is all alum. and i think it's around 680 inches. NOS cheater system (well, they both have that) Stand off box and i think it has 1.34 gears and a 34 pitch bravo 1 prop. He was on the button to do 129 though.

BadBug, were you at Plowman"s Creek in early Oct. for the get-together? I just asked because there was a bad-ass Stryker there.

I left off the part about my boat being a v-hull and wqs not propped for top speed but for quarter to 3/8ths mile. Not interested in seeing how fast it can go only but also getting the et as well.

All of those are some awesome speeds for NA and 108 in a v-hull is a real accomplishment!! I run a pumped gas solid roller aluminum head 598" with a single dominator. The best I have seen so far is 115 on GPS turning a 30" labbed bravo 1 6300 RPM through 1.36 gears. I still have prop testing to do, but if 115 is it I will be happy!! The best part about my ride is I built the motor and did the installation myself!!! Hopefully with prop testing and some more tuning I will see 117 or 118. I had a 1990 Baja 210 Sport with a 13:1 compression 496 with a solid roller and aluminum heads and the best I got out of it was 97.8 on GPS. That boat was fun, but an accident waiting to happen!! :D Here is the WPM!

Wette Vette,
Awesome ride. Got to ask. Do you have stud girdles under those valve covers on that solid roller motor?? I like the vents and easy on, easy off nuts. What brand are those covers. Thanks ,

Thanks for the compliment Randy!
The valve covers are KE 2 piece and are very nice. They don't leak a drop and I can have the covers off in no time at all!! I run Jesel shaft rockers which are awesome as well!! They really don't ever move more than .001" or .002" between lash settings. I doubt stud girdles will fit under these covers. Personally I am not a big fan of stud girdles. They work, but after running shaft rockers I'm kinda spoiled!!
