Do open engine boats have to comply with USCC reg's ? What about when they were mfg'd, ie `76 vs. `06 ? I'm curious about carbs, dist., fuel pumps, starters, etc. My boat is a `76 open engine hull, and I don't even know if it was equipped with USCC stuff from the factory ? It sure doesn't have any on it now !

The Flame arrester would be the only obvious thing they would look for, after checking you exhaust for baffles.

Thanks for the response Sleek. That's really all the'd look for ? Did our boats come with none of the other marine stuff when new ? I'm guessing the reg's were much less restrictive back in the 70's ?
