I have the same glock, Never had an accidental discharge. Don't carry it everyday, yet have not became complacent with safety. To remove the slide you do have to pull the trigger, but I will rack the slide several times to make 100% sure it is cleared. The first thing that should be done is remove the magazine. You would think that some one who should clean his weapon at least one a month would have the same safety mind set. He will probably win, and our tax money will be paying for his stupidity the rest of his life. What an idiot. my .02 Gary
