I once ran my 64 Dodge dart (4 door) into a brand new Volvo. It still had dealer plates, was on its first tank of gas and they were headed to Palm Springs. I sure f-ed up their plans...
Rainy day, freeway off ramp. My planned fishtail got a little wide.... :rolleyes: oh well. sorry lady. Mercury Insurance cancelled me after that one....

I was driving a red Celica (Older style) in 1983 and stopped at a 4-way made my turn and a sherriff slammed into the back off my car spinning me into about 3 360's. Totalled my car. He ran the stop with no siren or lights at about 40 to 50 MPH. OUCH eek!

I rolled in 5 vehicles inside of 3 years.
1) 84 F150 , got a little sideways in the orange groves, ended up in a ditch.
2) Baja Bug, went off a hillside road into a wash sideways.
3) 85 Ford Ranger, playing Ivan Stewart in the hills. After a housewarming party, but that's another story.
4) 70's Duster (friend was driving), sideways on a dirt road.
5) 67 Bronco, tried the same hill 9 times and on the 9th try looped it coming down the hill backwards.
Figure I've probably used up all my luck by now. :D

1983 - Driving to work to Stockton in heavy fog... and stopped at what I knew to be the intersection at a flashing light that was barely visible....rolled the window down to listen to traffic and heard an approaching car from the rear going pretty fast...tensed up and was hit at 60 mph and shot me 150 ft across the road into a irrigation ditch and my truck was sitting across the ditch...when I finally got out I fell about 2 feet down into the muddy water and the lady that hit me went thru her windshield. I was luckier than she was. I still am terrified to drive in the fog.

1986...West bound HWY12 @ Tower Park Bridge, nearly off the bridge when a Fiero appeared out of a cloud of smoke & coming straight for Us (Me & Jeff)at approx. 100mph (as per the police report)..We were doing approx. 50mph......Tore her car in half, took both axels off my 79' Ford 4X4....She walked away..Jeff was shaken but OK, I Had to be taken to Sacramento Kaiser with a Broken Neck..Still see the paint marks on the bridge where my truck hit the concrete on the side of the bridge...... Still hate driving on HYW12..... :rolleyes:

You won't beleive this one! 1989,2:00AM on my way home from work, I stopped at the local Exxon and was talking to an old highschool friend when this guy came in asking directions to the local college-said he was going to a party. We told him how to get there and he left. He came back in about five minutes later and asked for the same directions again! It was at this point that we both realized how drunk he was, so after he left we talked about calling the police on him, but decided not to. So I headed on towards the house. Going down the road, I saw a car coming towards me in my lane(Geuss Who) when I realized that he was going to hit me, I stood on the brake as hard as I could, and BOOM! He hit me head-on! Yep you guessed it ,it was the guy I had given directions to! Broke my heel bone completely off, crushed my foot and ankle, broke my leg clean three inches above my knee, broke the same leg in eight pieces six inches above that and shoved the bone through my leg and pants, broke my arm and three ribs and knocked the windshield out with my face breaking my nose also. To top it all off, he had no insurance! His statement to the State police in the hospital the next day was simply " I dont know what happened and I don't know where it happened at." Lucky Me huh?

1976...racing against a buddy of mine in my 1968 Cougar, ran off the road and hit 2 culverts, said I flipped end over end a half dozen times, crawled out through where the windshield used to be and was driven to the hospital, ended up sore as hell and had a few missing teeth from where I hit the steering wheel.

1/2 mile from my house a woman in a Mazda Protege decided to turn left in front of me. F-250 HD vs little car....I won!
She left in an ambulance, and her car was totalled. Air bags went up, the fluids were leaking all over, hood, grill, roof, windows, doors, all crunched. The F-250........needed a new bumper. It bent the bumper back where it rubbed tire or else I could have driven it home. :rolleyes: I was not even wearing my seatbelt yet....I did get a little bruise on my side from my pager....I guess I bumped into the door or something.
That moment I knew my family would never have anything smaller than the Suburban or my full sized pickup.
She later tried to sue me, her lawyer finally read the police reports and gave up.

I was 17 driving my buddies 87 Lincoln TownTank. We were headed down the main drag in town, had just gone to the local Sonic, all had very very large drinks,buddy had a footlong chilidog. Him and his girl in the back no belts, me and another friend up front. Passing by a parking lot someone shouts at me, I turn to look, and as I do I slam into the car in front of me at 40+mph. It was a 95 Caprice(20's, screens, kandy paint, the works) Well anywho these 5 black guys get out and start to make trouble, before they realize that we are friends with the 50+ people who were on the lot next to us, and that there were a lot of huge guys around us!! They got calm real quick. They had stopped in the lane of traffic to turn into the Blockbuster, only problem was, that there was a turn lane right next to them(four lane with turn lane in the middle) Cops took a statement and their car was towed. We hooked the battery back up and drove home. Come to find out the guys were watching a porn in their car when we hit them. The guy got caught with ins. fraud and all kinds of other shit when he filed the claim. Buddy got a bent bumper and a coke all over his car. To this day we still ahve no clue where the chilidog ended up!

Junior year of college, home for Thanksgiving. Was up at the country western bar at Universal (C/W was big back in '79), had the boots, hat, all the cool shit. Left about 1:00 totally faced. Hopped into my 1973 911T and headed down that big hill - WAY TO FAST! Sprinklers were on, street got wet, and with the engine in the rear, it didn't take much to lose the rear end and begin to spin. Made at least one 360, jumped the curb, got it straight and back on the road, kept driving with this huge -thunka,thunka, thunka every time the wheels turned. Did this for about a mile or so to a nearby 7-11. Called my dad and girlfriend at the time. She came and got me and my dad also showed up. he said right after I left a CHP stopped by and said wha's up? Dad said the car broke down and he was waiting for the tow truck. They didn't see the other side of the car, totally messed up. Well, when my dad got home (about 3:30 am), we went for a ride in his car - on the freeway so that the neighbors wouldn't hear him chewing my ass out. The next morning he came into my room and apologized for getting so mad, I said I deserved it - which I did. I am now very careful, and in fact, after reading the post yesterday about the breath- alizer, I just went out and bought one. Just to be safe. I'm going out for sushi tonight, anybody want to come along???
The porsche got fixed, and I later blew the engine. Last time I ever drove her. Moral - don't give your kid a Porsche, let him earn it. They'll appreciate it much more. I gotta go back to work to save some more money for the BMW my daughter wants....

One night my buddies and I had the rare pleasure of first having a bachelor party with strippers at one house then having the strippers agree to come back to my buddy's house and hot tub with us.Well,I'm driving my Dad's 5.0 mustang on this curvy road when I see a corner ahead marked 30 mph.So I'm about half drunk and decide I'm gonna hang the rearend out.Well,I go in too deep and slide off the road,down a hill.The rear of the car misses a huge oak tree by about 6 inches and I'm stuck.I walk up the road and see my friend has turned around but he can't see me.After 5 minutes he gives up and leaves.Well,I walk to a farmhouse,get a ride back to my parents' house and make up a BS story to get the keys to the pickup.Get my girlfriend and we pull the car out and I drive it home.I got way lucky because the CHP came by 30 minutes after I spun out and put a tag on the car.If I had been there I would have gotten a DUI for sure and it probably would have included the accident penalty which sometimes is a felony.Damn I was lucky.....

Offroading with an old VW transporter PU(looks like a bus but without the bus section) and got stuck while straddling a ditch on a steep hill. The truck was teetering on LF and RR wheels. Me and my friend get out and assess the situation and decide to climb onto the LR area to get both rear wheels to make contact....it worked great except that we forgot to get in the truck and steer...down the hill she goes backwards, front wheels hit a rut and causes the truck to do a "Rockford" turnabout...then the damn thing goes right on and starts rolling forward again down the hill with two teenaged guys running after it :rolleyes: it keeps right on going and jumps off a 15' embankment does a perfect 4 point downhill landing and crosses El Camino Real in Carlsbad near the Mall. It finally stopped against the other side of the road, we get in start it up and go on our marry way...stupid ass thing didn't even pull and barely put a mark on the underside of the front bumper.

17 yrs old 64 dodge valiant, hanging a left turn a lil faster thatn i should of , when i relize the throttle has stuck, try to make the left turn but ain't happining.completly ass end a lil honda on the side of the street, throwing it up on there lawn, but throttle is still stuck and this sucker is still running, the impact heads the car across the street on to the other sidewalk, where i end up mowing down about 5 small trees before i can get her stopped, can't kill one of those ol valiants!!!...lol

Junior year in high school. About 100 years ago :rolleyes: I was driving a girlfriends car. (She was a senior). 65 mustang. She set her yearbook on the dash. I make a right turn. Yearbook slides across the dash and wedges itself in the steering wheel, and against the dash. I can't steer anymore!
JAm on the brakes and skid right into the curb at close to 90* angle. Gets jeers from bystanders... :rolleyes:
Blows out a tie rod and I drive home all pigeontoed. Leaves a 7 mile skid mark... :D

on my way to tahoe about six months ago going down highway 80 through vacaville. driving in the fast lane doing about 75, minding my own business when a car from the other side of the freeway hits the center divide and flys over on to our side inverted. He flew right over the bed of my pick-up w/ his windshield missing me by about an inch. lands in the road behind me hits hops up in the air and is slammed into by the car behind me. there was cars rolling over and crashing into each other all over the place. It was the uglyiest thing i have ever seen. if i was driving anything bigger or i was one tenth of a second earlier he would of landed on my windsheild. guess it just wasnt my time.

I have a couple, but this one is unusual. 1988 Driving home to Pittsburg CA from Sacramento on I 80 near Vacaville. Driving in the slow lane at 65 MPH when I hear squealing wheels and start checking my mirrors to see what it was...when out of the corner of my eye in the fast lane I see a lady in a Toyota Corolla sliding sideways about 15 MPH faster than me.
Noting that the car was starting to get traction and slow close to my speed, I figured the way she was pointed chances were she would hook sideways and broadside me. I had two choices to make, hit the brakes or throttle and hope to time it right.
As usual I chose the throttle and floored the good ol Raider. Those four cylinders cranked away and got me moving fast enough that when she did as expected she missed me by about a car length. She ran off the freeway and hit a road sign and took it out. She was unhurt but pretty shaken up. She said she was in the fast lane doing about 75 (faster I think) and reached for a tape. When she did, she drifted off the road and overcorrected ending up sideways. That was when she entered my view.

1969 Chevy Pickup, 75 Mph, Chasing a Twisted Sister tape case on the floor. I got kinda sideways and ended up rolling 2 x's down the hill.

rolled my 71 bronco about 2 years ago. it wasnt too crazy, bouncing around on some hill in american canyon and ended up on my roof, with an engine fire and 3 three people looking at me hangin upside down in my 5 point.
comin home from high school about 7 years ago or so, haf the old mans truck and about 7 people in it (crew cab chevy 1ton). got hit in the back at about 30ish i think by a toyota truck. some jerk from school wasnt paying attention and hit me. well the front end of his truck was pushed into the "kingcab", tottally inoperable, fluids everywhere, the whole bit. he said"dude it's my fault is everyone okay?" they were. this truck was damn near tottalled and pops truck had a bit of glass on it from the headlamps, and thats it, no scrathes no dents NOTHING!
i still dont think he knows about it. and the other guys truck is still messed up i see him driving that piecer around today! hahaha
