We do both, but mostly what I like that way if they don't show up I'm not stuck with a bunch of candy I don't like... :D

when I buy, it is more in favor of my kind of candy:2purples: my wife gets more variety and things they can use. :wink: Fun Pencils, stencils, etc. small treats, give them a handful of stuff

My brothers kids went trick-or-treating out of my house this year and when the youngest boy got back and was checking his bag he was like WTF (almost) someone had given him Kebbler peanut butter cracker sandwiches..... I was laughing so hard cause he hates peanutbutter. :D
But when I buy I buy what I like, we started running low so made an emergency trip to the store and bought what was on sale. ;) But its all good.
