THE TRUCK HAS A 6" SUSPENSION LIFT AND A HELPER SPRING IN THE BACK SO IT DOESNT SAG LIKE ALOT OF THEM DO.AND THE TIRES ARE 35s. IT DOES LIKE TO EAT UP THE U JOINTS.....SO THE LAST TIME AJOINT WENT OUT I CHROMED THE DRIVE LINE ----WTF HUH..

thats a common problem with the K5s after lifting. but there are a few things that remedy it. first, lower the transfer case. by installing 1 inch spacers under the cross member. degree shims under the rear axle pads also help to align the drive shaft. also the rear springs may be wrapping some under acceleration which will cause a bad alignment aswell. anti axle wrap bars or shocks on the rear leaf springs help this. and now for the best remedy, swap the yokes to 1 ton. after doing that you will never have a problem again. the transfer case and upper drive shaft slip yoke are more common but you CAN find the rear dif yokes that were made. all depends on what rear axle you have. not much was done for the corporate 10 bolt, but you never know. do a search. and last but not least, DONT OVER TIGHTEN THE U-BOLTS, and allways use NEW retaining straps on the u-joint yokes. once the u-joint has failed it most likely distorted the retaining straps and u-bolts and you cannot tell with the naked eye. get new ones. proper presure is very important.
