How many of you guys are coming to Parker for the boat races on thanksgiving weekend? If so are you going to bring your boats? It would be great to have some of you nor cal guys come down and have a little V-drive get together.

Current plans will have the PS 89 boat showing up. Seems like we just ran a race? And its starting over again. The APBA web site only shows this race for 2005, nothing else shown yet. It also cautions against ANY "race course" testing prior to Fri morn. Something about that area being a USCG "no wake" zone. I guess that means NO wakeboard boats out of that marina at any time, ever!!.....cool..........MP

We will be there that weekend.
Under Hot Spots West there is an event
forum which has alot of information on
this race. Just ask Ross if you have more
questions, and he will get back to you
quickly. ( a very nice man)

After the days races are over for the day the river will be open to pleasure boats. Last year I launched my hydro right out of the pit area and went up river several times, Fri and Sat. The races will be held up a couple of times throughout the day for boats to leave/enter the Bluewater marina. Also the ramps at the La Paz county park are open all day, you can launch there and watch the races from the up river end of the course. As stated, the area of BW marina and quite a ways up river are a "No wake" zone except during the event.....I haven't heard of any boat "show" (ala Long Beach) at this event and parking of non event boats will be up by the casino. I don't think anyone would stop you from bring a boat down after the days races are over, but the casino does have a "pay per launch" ramp by the marina so using the event ramps may be "ify"..............................MP
PS the casino puts on a nice Thanksgiving buffet, as well as the cracker and GN people may have some sort of Thanksgiving deals going, its usually a fun time for all.......
