Had the fortunate chance to meet with a thousand or so anti Bush, anti war, anti global market folks at Highland/Sunset in Hollywood yesterday. This group had a permit to march from La Brea/Hollywood to Highland/Sunset and to hold a rally at the intersection. About 20 "anarchists" as they like to be labeled showed up and led 200 of the group to an armed forces recriuting center at the mini mall parking lot on the N/E corner. Their intent was to storm the building and vandalize it. They ended up vandalizing 4 cars and were stopped by Hollywood Div. bike unit at the front door. Our squad came in and cleared them out.
While holding the line for these folks at the rally, these supposed "pro peace/anti war" folks started yelling that we were facists, pigs, the usual BS. Then the leader gets on the bullhorn and said "How many cops died at the World Trade Center? ...Not Enough!!! The whole crowd started yelling not enough.
Now, of course, being the true professionals we are, we held the line and kept the shop owners and their property safe. The group also tried to trash a Starbuck's at the mall.
This group wants to make an initiative in Ca. to allow convicted felons to vote. I wonder how Richard Ramirez (night stalker) and Manson would vote? I'm thinking.... Democrat? Just a guess/lol. The leader also told the group to not allow Bush to take away their food stamps and General Relief payments (LOL!!). The group held signs up to free palestine and to meet with Osama Bin Laden. Wow, what a concept. My only gripe was the idiot mothers who walked up to our line with babies. Talk about child endangerment.
If these are the ideals of Liberals, to allow felons to vote, give MORE wellfare out, and to try to NEGOTIATE with terrorists, then I'm glad I'm labeled a conservative.
I'd even pay for the airfare to send one of these "enlightened liberals" to Afghanistan to "negotiate". Funny thing is, I'd win back the cost in a bet that they'd be the next televised beheading. I say implant a tracking device on one of these sacrificial lambs and ship them on over there. We'll at least locate Zarqawi or however you spell that sub human breathing lump of flesh.
P.S., this group called Kerry a sell out. Nice bunch of folks.
Stand by for Jan. 20, swearing in day. These folks plan to attempt to disrupt fed. places all over the country.
Too bad these self proclaimed vegans are all skinny fat (beer belly/skinny armed), they don't last long against a skirmish line.
Yes, I invented the term skinny fat in 01 when I came to HB, thankyou/lol.

Don't get me wrong, I support the right to protest, it's the destruction of property, mainly fed. (ie:I have to pay to fix it) that I'm against and what I get paid to defend along with everyone's safety.
There was a group with grn. hats who called themselves legal observers. They know they get moved along with everyone else once the PD determines it is an unlawful assembly.
We got some action, though limited. They learned we mean business very quickly.
If the mothers had not moved if we had cleared Highland, yes we could have made the child endangerment arrests. They got lucky we did'nt. The fact they even took babies up to a line of Metro officers on a skirmish lines with 36" batons is good enough in my world of common sense that they are unfit mothers, but then, that's my opinion and not the level of the law at that point. I already pay for their welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing anyways, why tie up the system with more losers for the jails to feed/LOL!

Yeah, as I watched these folks excersise their right to free speech, I was wondering what Michael Moore thought about the writer who was murdered in Sweeden by Muslim extremists for writing about how muslims treat women. Moore obviously must feel safe to write about americans since we live in a society where murder is generally held as morally wrong. Would like to see him grow some balls and take on the ills of the Muslim world. Bet his head would fetch a hefty price quickly.

They are nothing but Scumbags and Rioters and need the Miami treatment!! Some rubber bullets to the face usually quell them. A good example of liberals.

Hummmmm......Michael Moore would look pretty good kneeling in front of a bunch of hooded terrorists with knives in their hands..... I wonder if he were begging for his life he would reconsider his liberal views of the war on terror at that point?

They're asses without a doubt. Didn't catch the part where they were calling themselves liberals. Also, where do you get the statistical data to show that convicted criminals would vote democrat? Is that from your own time in prison or perhaps just your right-wing speculation? Or something you like to call a sense of humor?

Thanks for the advice Steve, a troll indeed.
Yeah KM, in 13 years on the job, I'd say I have a "little" experience to tell how these "fine upstanding individuals would vote. I see you live in Orange. Leave your little island and drive down to Imperial Hwy./Success St, or stop by Grape St., Anzac, Compton Blvd., Main st. and 110th St., and start asking the locals there how'd they vote. After they kick your bleeding heart ass and laugh at you, they'll tell you how they're "disenfranchised" (bonus point if you ask them to define that for you). They'll also talk about how Clinton was "their" president.
Hell, If I was a base head or an 18 year old gangster with 4 kids (true story) with no job, I'd think about voting for the party that wants to continue my general relief too.
Yes KM, have'nt found a conseravtive booked into LA County jail in 13 years on my watch, I'll keep checking for you though/LOL!!
Just remember KM, these guys don't think much about politics when they're doing such "great acts" as robbery, rape, murder, burglary. Shame on you or anyone else that thinks they deserve the right to vote. Your response clearly indicates you think they (convicted felons) should have that right.

You should really take a class in Logic and Critical Thinking sometime. Let's see if I understand your theory: You personally haven't seen any people booked into the Orange County jail in years that have professed to be conservative republicans, ergo, all Democrats are criminals. Hmmmm. Somehow I think anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence would see that you theory falls flat on it's face. Why don't you go take a ride somewhere in one of those "red states" you apparently love so much and talk to one of your conservative republican buddies. Careful, you don't want to piss him (or her) off because they're probably working with less than a high school education, a full set of teeth, a job after leaving "the Corps", and the gun-rack is conveniently within reach. Don't worry, you can probably outrun him because he'll be slowed considerably by that beer gut (or is that meth habit?). Gee, I think this statement is just as ignorant as yours.

Hey KM "Einstein",
Take a second look, the streets I mentioned are in LA. As in LAPD.
Critical Thinking, that's a term for you wine/crackers types to attempt to justify your weak, dream like "perfect utopia" which can never exist. I got my B.A. in 91" right before going to the academy. What, if any degree do you have, Mr. "thinks I know it all but have no real life experience"?
Keep sipping cappucino in your little Orange bubble KM, the real warriors like myself keep your pansy liberal asses safe from the monsters that are the result of years of govt. handouts. How out of touch can you possibly be?
Sure, conservatives in Ca. burg. houses and rob liquor stores-keep dreaming!/lol

Wow, just read your profile KM,
What a contradiction you are, you need to see a counselor.
An attorney that owns a gas guzzling Shockwave? Talk about a bad rap for Shockwave. Lucky for you they're good boats, they won't sink.
So KM, do you have the balls to be a criminal defense lawyer and stick up for all the scumbags and live with yourself or are you a typical liberal attorney sell out that does civil/business law?
I have nothing else to say, the fact you're an attorney speaks volumes on the fact you have no real world experience and can only rant and rave about "ideal utopias" from high above us "creatons" who actually work for a living.
You are'nt worthy of owning a Cal. custom boat in my book, and you're probably laughed at by your attorney peers for not owning a sailboat. Do us all a favor and go where you belong-The ocean, Humboldt Co., Carmel, S.F. or anywhere else you blue people go to cry about being outsiders. MoveOn.org would be a great website for you to call home.
P.S.
If you really had some balls, you'd leave the high paying legal job, strap on a gun and join a police dept. to do some real work. So. Cal, definately needs more cops, not more lawyers.

Although I do appreciate the "concept" of the police, I unfortunately know to many of your ilk from the Army Reserves. Just putting on the uniform doesn't make you a man. I'm sure you know a few other officers that would make you agree with that statement. You should try looking in the mirror sometime. Really!
I'm not a criminal defense attorney and I don't do civil/business law either. The fact that you have a low impression of attorneys causes me no concern whatsoever. Why don't you compare the paychecks of most attorneys to most cops and you'll see one big, glaring reason why I don't join your profession. The fact that joining your profession requires nothing more than a high school diploma (G.E.D.?) says all that needs to be said.
Oh, and I do carry a weapon. It's an M16A2, or an M249, or and M60, etc., etc. Not that it makes a difference. Unlike you I don't quantify my prestige by the fact I carry a weapon. It does give me a little insight into some things that I might otherwise not know as well. Like the comment about cops above. By the way, I also know alot of great police officers, detectives, CHP officers, correctional officers, sheriffs, etc. I doubt you would know them. They wouldn't want to waste their time with you.
Oh, and I don't find it at all strange that a "republican" would talk about limiting someone else's right to own a boat, etc. It's quite common for many republicans to want the government out of THEIR life but to be crawling up the ass of everyone else. It's the right-wing way!

Well, as I said, you obviously wouldn't know any of the officers that I know for apparent reasons. They're decent, honest and upstanding. They speak their minds and have an opinion but also have seen enough of the world to know how to respect the opinion of others.
With regard to "my job", let's just say that I get a rush out of orchestrating discovery that finds scum sucking leeches that attempt to lie and manipulate the system in an effort to commit fraud and seeing to it that they get their just rewards. Oh, and quite often they are state and local safety officers. Seems that even our men in blue find it difficult to keep their hands out of the cookie jar when they see what they think is an opportunity to cushion their paycheck or retirment. Go figure! I guess they're no better or worse than anyone else, regardless of the PR that you undoubtedly spew to willing listeners on a regular basis. The same could be said for attorneys. I've known many. No better or worse as a group. Some are fine people. Some are not. They also deserve to be judged by their own actions and not the actions of others in their professions. Should all officers be judge by the actions of those in the Rampart District? Should they all be judged by the officer killed in 9/11? Neither. They should be judged as individuals. You can be judged by your own words here for that matter. Even on this site your words reflect on all officers. Choose your words carefully.

As for my reputation, let's see KM, over 10 people have replied on this thread and none have been against me, only against you. Think about it.
Secondly, I've received word that you are not an actual, practicing lawyer in Ca.
Since I'm a "fact finder" (lol), I challenge you to a gentleman's match:
In the past I used to call out those who were against me to say trash talk to my face, funny thing is, no one ever stood up to the plate.
With you, I take a gentleman's approach.
It has been said you are a fraud. I drive a take home police vehicle. It contains my M16, Benelli, chem suit and all the other BS I have to carry around. I even have a little blue. uniform and ID card (imagine that?/lol)
How about we meet sometime at the LA county Sheriff's academy parking lot at a mutually agreed time you want and I'll be able to easily prove I am a police officer.
All I ask of you is for you to bring your State attorney's license , paperwork of an Orange/LA county (case number included) case you are currently working on and a business card where I can verify that you are who you say. This would do wonders for you as many (actually, all) members here do not believe you are who you say.
It's an easy thing to do. If you can't do this simple task, then we all know you are truly pointless and are most likely a liar troll.
Like you said, it's all about reputation. Either you are a lawyer or you're not.

I don't know how you guys do it, I have nowhere near that kind of self control. That guy should be drinking through a straw for the rest of his life. :220v:

If you ever find yourself here in Havasu, and have a problem with your boat, bring it by my shop.
As a business owner I would like to take the opportunity to say "Thank-You" for your willingness to perform a job that I have no desire to do. I will see to it that you get the treatment you have earned and deserve!!

Hey, isn't that kahanamoko? Looks like the dirty lawyer needs a shave, hair cut and a bath!!!! LMFAO!!!!
Looks like you called his bluff, LR!
by kahanamoko Also, where do you get the statistical data to show that convicted criminals would vote democrat?
It is a well known fact that the majority of the incarcerated are minority and the majority of the incarcerated minority are Democrats. That is why the push for the disenfranchised felons be allowed to vote. Also this was the reason for the push for the incarcerated to vote as well.
LR, I would like to shake your hand one day, but a thank you will have to do for now.

Whoops! I meant eating through a straw.
Regardless, alot of people in this country forget that without LE there's nothing between Us and Them. Funny thing about LE, if your're civil respectful and polite to them it comes right back.

LowRiver, I really got a kick out of reading your responses to Kanamoko and I agree 100% with you. I give you and your fellow officers a big thanks for helping keeping our streets safe. If I ever see you at the river, I got a cold beer in my ice chest with your name on it.
