In the process of opening a dessert lounge.........all high end plated desserts and sweet martinis. Was set to go into the Grove but major investor backed out at last minute. He's an NFL player and got cut the first week of the season. I will currently keep my job that I love until my next investor comes along..........just tired of working for someone else for 80 hours a week!

You may be making a joke, but someone should. There is a market out there, a little more so in Florida, but it's there. 2 years ago, I tried to do a time-share with exotic cars. After all the numbers were put together, the insurance and liability was just too much.

My wife and i have a auto repair and old car restoration shop in riverside,ca. we just got into restoring old 1930s-1950s travel trailers. also sell tiki palapa umbrellas on the internet.and i go to the car aution two times a month to buy used cars to sell.we work about 50 hrs a week and spend every dime living life.you only live once,so die broke. :)

I guess I'm surpirsed at how many people own their own business. I had no idea. I bet we could build and run our own City if we pooled our resources and talents. There's a lot more of us who haven't posted yet.
Speaking of, I haven't seen Froggystyle lately. Doesn't he own his own company too? Some sort of a marine industry business? :D

I'm a realtor in Anaheim Hills, but not limited to OC. I do a lot of investment properties for clients. I try to stay away from all the gimmicks and just concentrate on doing a good job. The tough thing about this profession is that you never know if you hired the wrong person untill it's too late.

I own a construction and engineering firm that specializes in building computer rooms, telecom facilities, and TV/radio studio and broadcast facilities.
I have always been in specialty construction; government, university, hospitals, etc. Uh, the idea is that not everyone can do it, and therefore one should be able to make more money. It works most of the time..... :D :D

A lot of people posting on this thread I haven't or rarely see here at the sandbar! That's great! The hubby, me and another another couple (friends of ours) just started company in the golf cart biz. It's not our full time job, we gotta pay the bills somehow till it takes off hopefully... We finally have our first fleet on the road heading our way for the guys to create some kick ass carts and sell them. www.southcoastcustom.com just starting off ... but it is more of a hobby that we'd like to see expand into something great for our futures!

We do microwave systems integration. (?Right) thats where we install, service, and integrate different manufacturers communications systems. Mostly for Television stations, all those beauty shots you see on the news, those cameras all over LA, Vegas, etc we put them in and service them. (LAX cam, Downtown cam, Orange crush cam, Stratosphere, etc.)

Custom Shower/Steam Enclosures & Mirrors and small commercial. Been doing it for 15 years for other people and watching their wallets get fat and mine gets thinner. Time to take the risk. The way I see it, cant complain until I see the other side.
