How about a yummy light dessert hors d'oevre?
semi sweet chocolate
whipping cream
strawberry syrup (Quik or whatever)
1 - 3 oranges peeled and sectioned
whip the whipping cream
add strawberry syrup to it and fold it in (adjust to taste)
melt the chocolate
dip half of each orange segment in it
put a dollop of strawberry cream on the other half of each segment
if serving guests poke toothpicks into each segment
put the segments on wax paper and put in the freezer for about a half hour.
Pop a whole segment into your mouth and get a sweet surprise ... tastes like a cherry blossom chocolate IMO.
It's nice after a big meal to have a tiny light dessert and depending how many you indulge in it's pretty low calorie too. :)
