be careful if you ride motorcycles. Make sure your helmet is DOT approved too. A good friend of mine was killed last evening on his Harley. His helmet didn't meet DOT regulations. The passenger's did and she lived. :frown:

Sorry to here that. :frown:
I'm not a helmet advocate. Even though it saves lives.
I have many freinds that wear non DOT approved helmets. :( :frown:

Sorry to hear it. I don't ride them because of my "pushing the envelope" problem.

Here is the article in the paper today.
Motorcyclist dies in crash
12:14 AM PST on Wednesday, November 10, 2004
The Press-Enterprise
A man died Tuesday when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a trash truck on a Corona street, authorities said.
The motorcyclist was heading south on McKinley Street about 6 p.m. when he ran a red light and hit a USA Waste truck that was turning west onto Mount Humphries Street, Corona police Sgt. Jerry Rodriguez said by phone.
The man died at the scene. The passenger on the motorcycle, a woman in her 30s or 40s, was alert and talking to paramedics and was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, Rodriguez said.
Both riders had been wearing helmets. While the woman's met U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, the man's was a novelty helmet, Rodriguez said.

My co-worker and riding buddy went down in sept. not wearing a helmet and he is truly not ever going to be the same, has not moved, spoken, only opens his eyes, tech brain dead and it is so hard to face reality that helmets DO save lives, I still dont wear one unless im on the freeway.

It's a real eye opener. Never put off telling people that you are thinking of them or giving those you care about a hug or just a call to say hello. I told a friend that I needed to call him but I just never got around to it.

Sorry to hear that topless. I always wear a DOT helmet. Not wearing a DOT helmet is like skydiving without a parachute. My last accident head first into a mercedes. if i was wearing one of those dumb looking pieces of plastic i would be dead or damn near that.
