Does anyone know a good reliable pool builder in Havasu or is a good reliable pool builder in Havasu like an urban legand, everyone has heard of one but not actually seen one.

Adam: Ask for Dawn and tell her you know Brenda Atkinson - who is our realtor and has said nothing but great things about them. They are going to start our pool next month. We've looked extensively at the stuff they have done and it has been top notch. Rex is the owner and you can ask for him as well.

He did a really nice job but I will admit that as with ANY pool builder you really have to stay on top of them. I would really recommend being there durring the build if at all possible. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Alot of pool builder, some are so busy they will not even talk to you. But I took Wild Bill's remondation for a major remodel, and Artistic came through.
On the low end, he is the new pool for $18,995 guy, with waterfall. He remodeled my 40' pool added a spa, and redid the decking. DO NOT let someone pour cement without a vapor barrier, or it will seep through salt etc in a year. Jim as asked used a barier, then I have a cool deck guy do it all including a very large veranda (1,100 square feet).
All is 100% correct 1 1/2 years later. And use a Jandy automated sytem controller, like an RS-8. It will control pool, lights, sprinklers, malibu lights, etc, etc. And the led lighting system, flashes 8 colors, very cool. It can even be hooked to your computer. Keep in mind many are adding the salt system so no chlorines is used. I think it adds about 1G.

Using Mohave County Pools. So far so good. However, Dawn is on leave so you will probably have to talk to Mike.

Pools are a bigger scam then boats, Bring a backhoe, dig a hole and pour cement 40K. My buddy signed a deal in June to get his pool. They said 8 weks that would be August. He just had the rebar laid and again cant find the people. SCAM
Granted there are those that build dream pools and it doe stake a little time, but damn his is a basic pool. no frills, kinda like bayliner

In Ca. the deposite for pools isn't suppose to be more than 5%... After that it's industry standard to pay after each of 3 large segments of the build with a ramainder due at the end.. It's a transient industry and spreading out the payment schedule protects both the consumer and the subcontractors...
Dig and steel labor and parts shouldn't have been more than 4k unless it's a large pool and was a difficult dig...
Also, his permit may expire before the 1st inspection is due. He needs to have someone inspect it to atleast get a date and sig on there to keeep the permit valid..

Sandcastle started our pool towards the end of June and finished it like the Wednesday before Labor Day. It was actually full of water and we swam in it on Thursday afternoon.
Sorry to hear your buddy got scammed but not all builders are like that. I would stick with either Mohave County Pools (the owner Rex is WAY cool) or Sandcastle Pools they are both very trustworthy in my opinion.
